0006.

With the help of Jake who carried May out to the waiting car, she was rushed to the packed hospital and was transferred into the emergency room.

Amby stood in the hallway outside the emergency room pacing about. She was dead with worry and she couldn't stomach the bad feeling she was getting.

Jake, who sat on a bench opposite the emergency room, couldn't help but stand up to meet Amby. She was looking like she was going to have a heart attack at the slightest bad news. He was also worried but Amby was showing more worry which was dangerous.

“Amby, be calm. Nothing is going to happen to May and the baby. She will be fine,” Jake consoled but Amby wasn't listening. She was praying silently in her mind and her eyelids were wet.

“Amby,” Jake called and took her hand. She looked up at him and started crying.

“You don't know how worried I am. The scene keeps replaying in my head. May was so helpless, I don't know what to do if anything bad happens to her,” Amby said amidst crying.

“No, she is going to be fine. You have to have faith that she will be fine. Even the baby will be fine too,” Jake consoled.

“No, I'm having a bad feeling. If only I hadn't been into an argument with her and allowed her to have her way.”

“What are you saying Amby, you never did anything wrong. How can you allow her to take over your rights in the household? If she did take it, what would become of you? The elders hardly respect you and when you lose your right, don't you think you are going to be treated as trash regardless of your position as the Luna?” Jake asked.

“I don't care as long as May is fine. She has to be even if we lose the baby,” Amby said.

“No Amby, we ain't losing any of them. They will be fine,” Jake assured and hugged Amby and she started wailing out loud.

"The doctors are taking too long to give us an update on her condition, Jake. What if something's wrong?" Amby asked, turning to Jake. "What if they don't know how to help her?"

“You don't have to be worried Amby, the doctors will do everything they can to help May," he said reassuringly.

"We just need to wait and see what the doctors say. They're going to take good care of her."

Amby nodded, but she still looked worried. She couldn't help but think about the worst-case scenario. May was their breeder, someone important and she couldn't bear the thought of losing her.

Just then, a doctor walked out of the emergency room, looking for someone. He caught sight of Amby and Jake and walked over to them. Amby's heart was pounding as she waited to hear what the doctor would say.

“Doctor. How is May? Is she okay?” Amby asked immediately if the doctor came to stand in front of them.

“Fortunately she is fine. Nothing happened to the baby too, she only broke a hand and can be taken home to receive treatment from home by tomorrow if the Alpha would permit,” the doctor said and Amby let out a breath she never knew she was holding.

“Oh, the moon goddess,” Amby said, a smile lightening up her face.

“Thank you, doctor. Can we see her now?” Jake asked.

“Of course, you can. She will be transferred to the VIP Ward after now. Just give us twenty minutes to round up,” the doctor said and walked back to the emergency room.

Amby hugged Jake and started crying happily. Jake could only smile as he kissed her hair.

“I assured you nothing was going to happen to her. You just had to believe me,” Jake said and hugged her tight.

May was transferred to a VIP Ward, Jake and Amby went to visit her. She was awake when they walked in. Immediately she saw Ambt walk in with Jake, she let out a scream which got Jake as Amby was afraid and they rushed towards her.

What is wrong with you, May?” Amby asked and tried to hold her but she let out another scream which stopped Amby.

“May, are you okay?” Jake asked and May looked at him. She started sobbing.

“I don't want to keep on seeing her here. Tell her to leave,” May begged Jake with seriousness.

“What are you talking about? Jake asked her, looking around.

“May, were you hurt in the head?” Amby asked coming close but May started crying again and tried shifting backwards.

“Don't touch me you devil, you wanted to kill me.

Don't touch me, you murderer,” may say pointing at Ambt which left her wide mouth.

The doctors who had heard the commotion came rushing in. They tried to come to May to inject her with calming drugs but she asked them not to come close so that she was fine.

“I am fine, I just want that devil to leave this place. She tried to kill me and my baby,” May revealed, pointing at Amby which made the doctors look at Amby.

“May, what are you talking about? When did I do that? You fell on the stairs, remember? Are you suffering from memory loss?” Amby asked, looking at May with disbelief.

“Don't try to act like you are innocent. I know you did it. The food I was served this afternoon before we got into an argument. It was sedated. You sedated it with drugs that would make me dizzy so I would fall down the stairs and die,” May revealed and everyone in the room gasped.

“What are you saying, May?” Jake thundered.

“It's true Alpha, she wanted it to look like it was an accident. The drugs were to work when my emotions are spiked which happened when I argued with her and got angry. If you want evidence, I will provide it right away,” May announced leaving everyone standing there in shock.
