Mag-log inValeria POV
It’s been a few weeks since I arrived here weeks of torture, weeks of being drained. I couldn’t blame it on anything but fate. I was destined to die mateless. Yet thoughts kept flooding my mind. Could I escape this place? Maybe, if I attacked, I could run back to my family’s house. Maybe my father would accept me. But then I remembered how they sent me off to this ruthless tyrant. I could only sigh, frustrated, and accept my fate.
A knock on the door jolted me from my thoughts.
“Come in,” I muttered, throwing myself onto the bed.
A masculine voice echoed into my ears, and I quickly sat up. A guard stood before me.
“My lady, Alpha Sebastian requests your presence in the throne room,” he muttered.
I froze. Why would Alpha Sebastian request me there? The only times he ever wanted to see me were in his bed and afterward, he pushed me out like nothing.
I forced a smile, nodded. “Give me a few minutes,” I whispered. He bowed and left. Instantly, I rose, adjusted my dress, and slowly opened the door. The guard straightened, pointing toward the hallway.
“No. Please, lead the way.”
He bowed again, then walked ahead. I trailed behind him, my heart racing with every step. Was Alpha Sebastian granting me freedom? Or was he about to parade me before the council of elders as a trophy?
We reached the throne room. The guard knocked. The door opened. Someone inside motioned me in. My stomach tightened. I had carried pain in my heart so long, I thought nothing could hurt more. Yet as I stepped inside, I froze.
My father. My mother. Standing at the corner of the courtroom.
For a heartbeat, hope flared, maybe they could explain why they were here. But they didn’t spare me a glance. They turned their eyes away.
“Perfect timing.”Alpha Sebastian’s cold voice echoed. My gaze snapped to him. Then I saw her.
Helen. My sister. Kneeling on the floor, tears streaming down her face.
“Sister…” I muttered in worry, rushing toward her. But her next words caught me off guard.
“Don’t come any closer, you traitor!” she yelled.
I froze, confused. What was she talking about? Last time I checked, she said she was going to pick flowers from the garden and never returned. She disappeared before my wedding, and now suddenly, she shows up, calling me a traitor.
“Sis, what are you talking abou-”
Before I could finish, a hot slap landed on my cheek. My head snapped in the direction of the blow. My mother stood there, eyes blazing with hatred and rage.
“How could you do this to your sister? It’s not her fault you couldn’t get a mate after four rejections. But stealing your sister’s mate? You crossed the line, Helen!” my mother shrieked, pointing at me.
I couldn’t understand. It felt like I was hallucinating.
“Mama, what’s going on? You told me to take Helen’s place because she disappeared I…I…”
Another slap cut my words short. My lips trembled, but no sound came out. Everything felt like a cruel game. What was happening?
“How dare you lie?!” my mother shrieked, ripping my dress from my shoulder. She forced me to face Sebastian, exposing the skin where no mark showed.
My mind spiraled. Why was she calling me by a name that wasn’t mine?and my mark, my mother had always warned me never to expose it. Said it was the sign of a curse. So I had always kept it hidden.
“Yes, Alpha Sebastian,” my sister’s voice rang out, trembling with tears, “she pretended to be me. Valeria. I’m Valeria, and she’s Helen. This is my birthmark. I’m your true mate.”
She ripped her dress from her shoulder, exposing a moon-shaped mark. Gasps filled the room.
I shook my head in disbelief, desperate to speak. My eyes darted to my father. But he turned away.
“Papa, say something!” I screamed, my voice breaking as tears streamed down my face. This was all a setup. My father didn’t speak. He only lowered his gaze to the ground. And in that silence, I realized the truth,I was utterly alone, My family had betrayed me. They had traded me for their lust for power, for the throne.Alpha Sebastian’s voice thundered across the room.
“Is this true, Beta Edward?” His gaze never left mine, a cruel smirk tugging at his lips. He had always hated me and hated me so much he never once bothered to ask my name. I knew he could kill me without a blink.
“Yes, my lord. My wife speaks nothing but the truth. I never thought my daughter Helen would do this to us.”My father’s words shattered the last flicker of hope inside me. I tried to speak, to defend myself, but before I could, Alpha Sebastian rose.
The court followed, standing in his shadow as he descended from his throne with calculated grace. He extended a hand not to me, but to my sister lifting her gently to her feet. Then his eyes met mine. Something cold, something indescribable burned within them.
“You will be executed by nightfall.”
His voice rolled through the courtroom like thunder. My body trembled, my tears unending. My fate was sealed, Rejected four times, Mateless, Betrayed by my own blood,To die at the hands of a merciless tyrant.
Just when despair consumed me, my sister’s voice sliced the air.
“My lord, perhaps you should reconsider. I’ll be needing many slaves to serve me. Add her to them. Let her work under me.”
My knees gave way, and I collapsed, sobbing as the weight of her cruelty pressed into me. Through the blur of tears, I saw her face, radiant with triumph. My parents tried, and failed, to contain their joy.
I wiped my eyes slowly. I stared at them all my smiling sister, my silent father, my treacherous mother. And in that moment, I swore one thing. This was not the end.My revenge would come.
Alpha Sebastian’s POVXavier was far too confident, and it showed in the way his men charged recklessly toward mine, their battle cries tearing through the air as steel clashed against steel and wolves howled in fury. The battlefield became chaos within seconds, dust rising, bodies colliding, the metallic scent of blood thick enough to choke on. I stood at the center of it all, my grip tightening around my sword as I locked eyes with him, knowing this was no longer just a war for territory it was personal. He had insulted my Luna, my crown, and my pack, and for that, there would be no mercy; I moved first, our blades colliding with a force that sent vibrations through my arms, neither of us willing to yield as sparks flew and the ground beneath us trembled from the sheer intensity of the fight. We circled each other like predators, each strike faster, heavier, more desperate than the last, and with every movement, I could feel the rage inside me growing, fueling me, sharpening my ins
Alpha Xavier POVI knew something wasn’t right. Sebastian’s silence wasn’t something to ignore,it was dangerous. He wasn’t the type to sit back and do nothing, and that alone told me war was already at my doorstep. I was still deep in thought when the doors burst open, slamming hard against the walls as one of my betas rushed in, breathless and pale.“Alpha Xavier… they—” he gasped, clutching his chest, struggling to speak. “They are here.”For a split second, the room fell silent, then everything exploded.“Get everyone ready!” I roared, my voice echoing through the hall. “No one stays behind. We go to war today! We will bring chaos upon them, we will tear through their defenses and take what is ours!”The warriors let out loud, thunderous growls in response, the sound vibrating through the walls like a storm about to break. Weapons were grabbed, armor secured, and the once quiet pack ground turned into a frenzy of movement. Still, I noticed hesitation. A few of them stepped back, ex
Helen POVI knew everything was over the moment Valeria ordered that I be thrown into the dungeon. At first, I thought I could still manipulate her by using the bond we once claimed as sisters to soften her heart, to make her release me and my parents. But I had spoken too much, pushed too far, and now there was no turning back. Deep down, I knew I wasn’t getting out of this alive. Still, I refused to accept it so easily. I convinced my parents to try one last time, to make her listen, to bargain with whatever we had left. When she finally came to see us, I tried to use the only leverage I had left. I told her we knew about her real family, hoping it would shake her, hoping it would buy us freedom. But nothing went as planned. The nights that followed were nothing but torment. I watched my mother groan endlessly in pain, her body growing weaker with each passing hour. I watched my father break apart, blaming himself over and over again for everything that had happened, for trusting m
Valerie POV“It was him,” I said under my breath, my eyes widening in shock and disbelief. For a moment, I actually thought my mind was playing tricks on me. If anyone had told me that the same man I met years ago in Crestwood Pack would one day be standing right in front of me like this, I would have laughed it off without hesitation. And yet here he was.“My lady,” he said respectfully, bowing his head in courtesy. That familiar voice only made the confusion inside me grow deeper. I didn’t waste another second before rushing toward him.“How did you get here? How did you even know I was here? Have you been following me all this time?” I asked quickly, my tone sharper than intended. A soft smile appeared on his lips, calm and almost too composed for the situation. He slowly shook his head and straightened his posture.“Not at all, my lady,” he replied evenly. “I’m not here because I followed you. I was informed. I received a message from Elder Howard some time ago. Strangely enough,
Valeria POVSlowly, the courtroom began to empty. One by one, the elders and guards took their leave, their footsteps fading into silence until it was just me and the aftermath of everything I had done. I stood there, unmoving, in the middle of the lifeless bodies of the people I had once called family, those I had trusted, those who had broken me in ways I could never fully explain. All for power, for greed, for control. Now they lay still, their ambitions buried with them, All except Helen. She was still alive, barely. Her body trembled weakly against the cold floor, chains binding her wrists and ankles, her strength completely drained. The guards moved to drag her away, but I raised my hand, stopping them instantly. They exchanged confused glances, but I didn’t bother explaining.“Leave her,” I said calmly. “I’m not done yet.”They stepped back. One of them handed me the chain, and I yanked it harshly, dragging her closer to me. A weak cry escaped her lips as she struggled to stay
Valeria POVI rushed out of the chamber, only to find a guard standing at the entrance. For a moment, my heart skipped, but he quickly bowed and reminded me about the council of elders’ meeting. That was when it struck me, I was no longer just Valeria. I was now the acting ruler of the pack while my mate was away at war. Pushing every lingering thought aside, I quickly changed into a simple dress, nothing too extravagant, and made my way to the courtroom. The moment I stepped in, the atmosphere shifted. My father, his wife, and Helen were already kneeling at the center, guarded and waiting. I didn’t spare them a single glance as I walked past, my steps steady, my expression unreadable, until I reached the throne. Only after I sat down did I lift my gaze and even then, it was brief. I could feel Helen’s eyes on me, burning with something fierce, but I ignored it.Silence filled the courtroom as everyone waited for me to speak. This was the moment their judgment. A faint smile lingered
Valerie POVEverything Sebastian just said didn’t make sense to me. I slowly turned my gaze toward the physician, hoping he would deny it, hoping he would say Sebastian was wrong. But instead, he gave me a quiet, reassuring nod, confirming the terrible truth the child was no more. For a moment, ever
