NATHAN'S POV

The third morning in Brooklyn dawned cold and crisp, the city alive with its usual hustle. I met Lola at the café, already feeling the weight of another day in this labyrinth of steel and stone.

“Alright,” Lola said, handing me a steaming cup of coffee. Her tone was different, lighter, but laced with intent. “Today, you’re flying solo.”

I raised an eyebrow. “What’s the catch?”

“No catch,” she said, leaning against the counter. “You’ve been sticking to me like turtles to their shells, and it’s time to break out of that comfort zone. The city has its own lessons to teach, Nathan, and you won’t learn them with me holding your hand.”

I sipped the sweet brew, her words settling in. “And what if I crash and burn?”

Her smirk was sharp and confident. “Then you get up and try again. That’s what being an Alpha is about, isn’t it? Adapt, learn, lead.”

I nodded, knowing she was right. “Fine. Where do I start?”

“Anywhere,” she shrugged, throwing on her coat. “The city’s your map today

  • Alpha's Regret: Mommy, Daddy, We Want to Be Together!   Chapter 293 – I'll love you until I'm dust in the wind

SOPHIA'S POVHis breath was hot against my skin. The air between us crackled, electric and alive, like a wire had snapped and all that raw, waiting energy had nowhere to go but here. Into this moment. Into us.He said my name like a promise.“Sophia…”His voice was low, rough, like he was scraping against the edges of restraint. I felt it more than I heard it, vibrating in my chest as his hands anchored at my hips, firm and unyielding. I was still sat on the kitchen table, my bare legs wrapped loosely around his waist, his body pressed into mine like we had never been apart.I looked into his eyes – those stormy gray eyes that once frightened me with how easily they could turn to ice. Now they were molten. Burning. Hungry.“You’re mine.” He said, voice like thunder wrapped in silk. “Do you know that?”My breath hitched. “Yes.”He leaned in slowly, deliberately. “Say it Sophia.”“I’m yours.”His hands tightened, just enough for me to feel the pressure of his need, of the desire he held

  • Alpha's Regret: Mommy, Daddy, We Want to Be Together!   Chapter 292 – I want to remember every second of this…

SOPHIA'S POVThe house had never felt this quiet. “Ah, peace and quiet. Finally.” It was another whole day of absolutely mundane activities and I loved every second of it. The day had passed in relaxation, stuffing our faces with comfort food and lots of rest. But the drowsy silence in the air wasn’t the kind of silence that suffocates. It was the kind that settles over you gently, like a blanket pulled up under your chin. A silence filled with breathing space – and anticipation. The twins had gone to bed yet again without protest, blissfully unaware of just how close chaos had come to their doorstep. Nathan had carried Alex upstairs while I tucked in Alexia, brushing her curls away from her face and kissing her goodnight. For once, no questions. No fears. Just sleep. Very much safe and more importantly… Whole. Now, it was just the two of us.After our talk yesterday under the stars, it felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. It was freeing in a way, almost like salva

  • Alpha's Regret: Mommy, Daddy, We Want to Be Together!   Chapter 291 – Can I ask something dangerous?

NATHAN'S POVThe battle was over, but the aftermath had its own weight. And yet, in the stillness that followed, I felt something I hadn’t in years – peace.Ash drifted from the final bonfires, where we burned the remnants of what the old regime had left behind – spying scrolls, corrupted records, tainted silver weapons. The scent was harsh, but cleansing. A new beginning forged in flame.I stood at the edge of the clearing, watching as Vivian issued orders to the remaining Silverfang wolves. Loyal ones. Theon was beside her, making quick work of rounding up the last of the traitorous holdouts. Malachi’s remnants – those still breathing – had been bound and imprisoned. And Victoria… Victoria was gone.No wolf would speak her name again without spitting.I turned toward the small gathering near the council stones – Elara, Sophia, and the twins. Even after everything, the kids had begged to stay. Even though they didn't fully understand what was happening. “We wanna know it’s really ove

  • Alpha's Regret: Mommy, Daddy, We Want to Be Together!   Chapter 290 – What punishment would you choose?

SOPHIA’S POVThey brought her forward at dawn.Chains clinked against stone as Victoria stumbled into the circle, flanked by two guards who no longer bowed their heads at her name. She was still bleeding from the fight, a jagged cut above her brow and a bruise blooming along her jaw.Not just chained – bound. Her wrists scorched with silver cuffs, her ankles clicking with every bitter step, eyes defiant even as her lip bled from where she bit it too hard. She stumbled once. Elara didn’t let her fall. I almost wish she had.Victoria still looked… regal. Even ruined. Even after everything. We stood in a wide clearing, the moon pale above us like a quiet god. It was the same place Nathan’s old home had once stood. All ashes now.How fitting. She caught my gaze as they shoved her to her knees.“You look tired.” She sneered. “Worried your little redemption arc might fall apart now that I’m back?”Her voice was hoarse, but it still carried that haughty, poisonous charm. The kind that once m

  • Alpha's Regret: Mommy, Daddy, We Want to Be Together!   Chapter 289 – I want to know why

SOPHIA'S POVThe snow had stopped, but the cold remained.Victory always felt different than I imagined. I guess it would feel different, now that I had it. It wasn’t triumph – it was just a simple silence. The kind that sinks into your bones after you’ve screamed your last breath and still didn’t get the justice you wanted.Nathan stood beside me, bruised and steady. “It’s over.”But I couldn’t say it back. My chest was too tight. My fingers curled at my sides. Something was missing. No – someone.Malachi.I hadn’t seen him fall. I hadn’t seen him surrender. And men like him never surrendered.I took a step away from Nathan. He looked at me, reading the storm in my eyes and then hearing the words in my mind.“Sophia,” he said gently, “you don’t have to do this.”“I do,” I said. “You know I do.”His jaw tensed. “Then I’ll come with you.”I shook my head. “Not this time.”He didn’t argue. He only nodded once, his eyes heavy with understanding – and something deeper. Regret, maybe. Or g

VICTORIA'S POVThey came through the fire. Not smoke. Not shadows. Not fear. They came through fire. And they looked like vengeance. How freaking cute. From the balcony, I watched them – Nathan and Sophia side by side, framed in the doorway like some tragic legend come to life. Burned edges of their clothing, blood crusted on their weapons, children rescued, rage written in every line of their bodies.I should’ve been afraid.Instead, I smiled.“You made it,” I said, voice echoing through the throne room like silk over a blade. “All that noise outside – Vivian, Lola... even Elara slinking through the trees like some old fable no one believes in anymore. You must’ve really wanted this.”He said nothing… But I could tell he hadn't expected me to know who half of them were. But I had done my homework. Vivian, the wolf he had put in charge of Silverfang pack. Lola, his friend and daughter of his mentor. And finally, said mentor, Elara, the jack of all trade and rumoured to be the oldest w
