Chapter 21~ A Hug

EMILY:

I didn't even realize it had been up to 30 minutes already since I left until I heard Christian's voice.

"Emily, you okay in there?"

I sniffled and fluttered my brows. I was a mess already and if I opened the door, Christian would certainly find out. "I'm fine." I replied. "I'll be out in a few minutes okay."

"I don't believe you. Let me see you."

I knew he wasn't going to agree so easily. I ran to the bed, picked up a towel and tied it around my hair. Once I opened the door, I poked my head out.

"I'll be out soon, give me a few minutes."

I wasn't staring at him because of my eyes. They were really swollen and he would figure out that I had been crying. I didn't expect him to do it, but he raised my chin and made me stare at his face.

"You've been crying?"
