Chapter 29: Suspect

I was in my office where there was a knock on my door. Since I was expecting someone, I shut down the laptop in front of me. "Come in." And said.

The door opened and Shane, my beta, walked in.

"Hey." He greeted me as he walked in. I instructed him to take a seat and he did.

"Did anyone see you walk in here?"

He shook his head in negation and answered, "No."

"Alright. How are things going at the company? What are the new investors saying and how many have you gotten to back down?"

Shane adjusted his suit properly while I was still staring at him. He dipped his hand into his suit pocket and brought out a paper.

"I think you need to see this. Maybe you should consider coming over to the company yourself soon, Alpha."

I collected the paper from him and read through it. This was a proposal from Tyler Lockwood. I scoffed aloud. "Do you know Alpha Tyler personally. If you do, then you're a certain he's also a powerful man."
