JAX’S POV

Manny’s question just made me more aggravated than I had been all day.

“Am I the reason?” I said, kicking him by the side and striking at his head again only for him to block it.

“Do you really think that with everything you have done, I am the reason Lexi wants to leave?” I asked and he froze mid strike, giving me the opening I needed to strike him by the side.

Manny gripped his side yelling out in pain as he shifted back.

I glared at him pointing my sword, ready for his next attack. Manny shook himself, staring intently at mine like that was the kicker he needed to come alive.

His next move was dangerous, he jumped on me with the sword, striking at my head, I managed to dodge that but his next move was even faster. His leg kicked my chest, moving me forward as he slammed the sword to my neck mercilessly.
