Mallory's POV:

"But Mom, I am hungry, and you do not expect me to starve. Besides, she offered her food to me," Beatrice stubbornly went to the kitchen to get her own plate and spoon, and Madam Scarlet sighed and massaged her aching head.

"It's okay, Madam. I am an Alpha, so I cannot get weak if I have to wait for a few minutes for you to get to the market and cook. At the pack's farmhouse, despite my pregnancy, they make us eat breakfast as lunch."

"What?" Madam Scarlet's eyes widened in shock. "Are you saying the truth? I thought my husband was lying because he worked there and he said that's how they treat them."

"Mmm," I sighed and rolled my eyes. "So you see, waiting for a few more minutes cannot get me sick. I am fine."

Madam Scarlet sighed with relief while Beatrice got out of the kitchen and came to join me at the dining table.
