Alpha’s Rejected Slave

Chapter Thirty-Nine

Unknown POV

The chirping of the beds permeated the deep forest air, slow burbs of insects followed by the deep darkness the night resembles. The cabin is hidden by the thick canopy of gigantic trees and thick fogs and vast green vegetation.

A bulky form laid on a wooden dark bed made of straws the body covered in thick woolen blanket covering the legs and hands except for the head which the darkness of the night hid possessively dipped to the side by the cotton pillow. An unusual feeling creeped into the tiny fabric of my skin, a cold jotting feeling.

My hands wiped at the sleep at the corners of my eyes drawing me into bed, but the obscure feeling had my eyes ready, and vigilant on who the intruder might be? An eerie silence fell, followed by a squished sound of something melting meters away from the cabin.

“What is happening?”

Is she here?

My Sheila,

My child of light.

Alpha’s Rejected Slave Chapter Seventy-Four Sheila’s POV I sat on a saddled white horse and we rode far into the night and early dawn. Tagon split the guards into four sections one to the east, west, north and south while two others accompanied us as we stayed neutralIn the midst. The area is agog with rogues and thieves.Rosalia noticed the trail and escaped into the seven hills which is a dreaded location. Rosalia to have hidden here she thought it impossible for us to come, and if that isn’t the case she must have played a dangerous game to get us trapped, and possibly killed by the rogues who run amok in these areas. Tagon got off his horse and I followed suit walking closely behind him. “Follow my lead and be observant. I think we are led on a trap.” He muttered slowly, his eyes interrogating the entire area with hawkish gazes. “But there are no houses around here so where could she be hiding?” “That hut, mete

Alpha’s Rejected Slave Chapter Seventy-Three Sheila’s POV Time seemed to move in slow motion till it was time to present the young Prince to the guests. My son’s nanny was sent to bring him forth, but when she returned she did without him. She looked fidgeting, her eyes clouded in tears, her body shaking out of fright. A realization hit me. Hope I’m wrong and it’s nothing. “Where's my son?” I screamed. “He… he is gone.” Her eyes fell to the ground. Tagon interjected, “Gone? To where?” “He isn’t in his baby cot and the shawl is lost. He has been kidnapped.” She burst into tears. An echo banged in my chest. “Ni…ko…”Tagon springs up hurrying to Nikolai’s room. The world tends to tilt with large voices screaming but so out of it I was knocked out, my eyes closing in on me. Next I felt my body placed on a bed, a hand wrapped around mine fingers caressing softly. I knew who the hands belonged to. My eye

Alpha's Rejected Slave Chapter Seventy-Two. (Rosalia’s Bonus Chapter) The prince is born. The smiles and pleasure on their faces as they held onto one another. Their joy is evident. Their happiness pricks my skin, stings badly like a venom eating out the very fiber of life in its prey. Every little hair on my skin itches with disgust. I stood hidden behind my veil with fixated eyes on the new parents who were enthralled with each other, they could barely keep hands off one another, a burning sting spread across my chest, reaching my tongue. Tastes metallic, cold, bitter and dirt. Bile forms in my stomach. My eyes took a quick glance on the hidden bulge of my stomach thanks to the bulky costume. As customary a week after the Prince’s birth a wide feast is to be held in his honor and people were invited to grace the ceremony. What better opportunity if not to seize the moment up close with my enemies- Tagon included. He

He stole your cheekbones but got my smile…” Tagon smiles widely, chatting a thousand and one things I couldn’t keep up with. My eyes tired with dark circles, my lips bloated with burning sting, an occurrence after biting on them wailing during childbirth hours. My child came earlier than predicted and to my astonishment a baby boy was born, the next in line of his father. Diana was here hours ago but left to be with her husband after showering gifts, and words of encouragement she too couldn’t get away from the baby.A smile crept up on my chin and lips. The first time after her (Rosalia) disappearance we could feel a semblance of genuine happiness, and calm. Days after she left it felt like an eerie shadow followed us wherever we went, no matter how protected or hidden we were. We felt her presence like a dark shadow hauli

Alpha’s Rejected Slave Chapter Seventy Sheila’s POV “Rosalia escaped.” The cut edge tone, the way it fell from his lips the second I walked into our chamber and met him mopping the floor in thoughts of agitation sprinting from every pores in his skin radiating with tension and anger. The silence that follows I could hear my heart beat thumping loudly in my chest. What! “The baby. Our baby is in danger. She isn’t right in the head to cater to herself and her condition.” Tears coursing my tear duct, worry tugging in my chest. How would she cope outside in the wild, cold and without food and safe warm shelter? What would happen to the child she’s carrying, exposing it to risks? Any moment a few weeks to come she might deliver the healer has marked me due in a week time and our pregnancies aren’t far apart. I tried my hardest to get information from the maids Tagon instructed in her welfare, and they kept on narrating how her bump

The smell of the garden blooming took more of my attention unbeknownst someone was also in the garden until I felt a tap on my shoulder and to my greatest disbelief the intruder happened to be Diana who was smiling from ear to ear. I engulfed her into a hug not minding my ever growing large bump protesting the tight hug. “My Queen, your beauty is radiating, stealing the spotlight off the flowers that you seem enamored of.” Fidelis stood down from being Beta and took for himself a land where he worked to start his family with Diana. Tagon seems unsettled to forgive him, but I catch a glimpse of him staring into thin space in thoughts thinking about h
