Chapter Seven:Broken

Ashley POV

I made it on time to the alpha's quarter,"Oh you are early today,could you please help give these coffee to the luna"??Miss arielle asked.Of course I couldn't refuse even if I want to.

"Yes miss arielle and with that I dashed to the Luna's chamber,I am not fully familiarized with the castle and I think miss Arielle forgot it's my second time here ,hence she didn't enlighten me on the rooms of the members of the castle"

Seeing a gigantic gold door,I presume it's the room of Alpha Josh which means the Luna would be inside,I knocked on the door lightly but no one answered,After about a minute of waiting,I decided to hit a little harder but yet no response.Staring at the steamy,delicious looking coffee I thought it would be a waste if returned,"this nice coffee is meant to be drank",I thought.

Since no one was opening,I opened the door myself,Inside It was pitched black with no light on,Looking around for the switch so I could see where to drop the coffee,I saw there was a faint light coming from the bathroom,using the dim light from the bathroom which wasn't even enough to illuminate my path,I walked steadily to the door,wanting to call the attention of the Luna so I could tell her I dropped her coffee.

"Hmm,hmm",was the sound I heard as I walked to the door,"but alpha Josh went on a trip so who is luna bethany with"was my thought.Well I should have gone back but my curiosity got the best of me.

The door was slightly open,with my heart pounding so hard,I tried to peep but before I could the door opened and out came a towering figure and with the light streaming from the bathroom I could see who it was.

"What are you doing here,"a familiar voice spoke and lifting my head which I had earlier bent,I saw it was Megan,I wasn't shocked but disappointed,Though it's normal for unmated wolves to satisfy their urges with whomever,I don't know but I instantly became jealous and at that moment I wish I was the one in the white towel."What are you doing here",Megan asked again and I jolted from my reverie.My eyes darting with panic as I looked between megan and alpha Alexander who just stood rooted in his position and staring at me so hard that it could bore holes in my face.

"Ermm,sorry I got the wrong room to deliver this coffee and with that I turned to go but before I could reach the door"a bold voice stopped me"wait!,I hope words of what you saw stays within you,you wouldn't like the consequences if I hear it else where"Alpha Alex said and I felt a pang in my heart,a nod was the only thing I could do and so I left.

"Where have you been ashley?The Luna is outranged,she doesn't joke with her coffee"

"Am sorry,miss arielle,I'm not familiar with the castle and lost my way.

"kk,come over here,let me make a new coffee and this time I will send one of the omega's to walk you to her door"

"But miss Arielle,you could send anyone aside me,maybe one of the omega's should go without me.

"Well,it would be so sad if you lost your way again and make the luna wait".

"How did you get to be here or are you born an omega?I asked the girl before me,I heard miss Arielle called her Micah and such a beautiful creature with her blonde wavy hair,round eyes and well sculpted lips is an omega,so unfair.Her temperate made me wondered as we walk that I couldn't help but want to strike a conversation but her silent treatment made me shut up,besides I wouldn't want to miss the way again.

"We are here"Micah turned to me abruptly that she almost hit the coffee if not for my tight grip.

"Thank you,I muttered and knocked lightly on the door.

"Come in,Luna Bethany said softly.

She was sitting with a bathrobe at the left corner of the room,facing the mirror and making a few touches on her face.

"Good morning Luna Bethany"

" Morning Ashley.I was supposed to receive my coffee earlier what happened?,Luna Bethany asked as she turned towards me.

"I am sorry,Luna Bethany,It's my second day here and I lost my way.

"okay,that's a fair reason,I don't like my coffee been delayed".

"Your birthday it's coming up and it's a good thing you will meet your mate soon".

"You know your mother and I were good friends and I remembered how she always want you to meet your mate but it's unfortunate she wouldn't witness it.Thanks for the coffee Ashley.Luna Bethany said with a small smile that was literally annoying.

I know she was a friend to my mum but why does she have to rub it in my face about how fortunate she is and not my mum to witness my upcoming birthday.She is the wife to the man that betrayed my family and everyday I just wish Alpha Josh and his wife meet the same fate.

But come to think of it, even when I was at a tender age,my mum never stops reminding me of how I should quickly meet my mate,her enthusiasm leaves room for questions and I wonder if the Luna knows anything or why my mum was that way.

On my way back I couldn't stop thinking about my birthday and if there would be anything worth esctactic about except the fact that I might get my freedom.I suddenly thought of Alpha Alexander and Megan,its clear enough that they aren't fated mate because if they were,he would have marked her long time ago of which everyone in the pack would be aware of.

"Then who might be his mate??

"why hasn't he find a mate even when he's old enough to get one?I thought.

"Hey slut,it's your second day at work here and you're already trying to bitch your way into the alpha's lap,How immature,don't you think?"Amanda came suddenly at me.

"Yeah,It's my second day at work,so I lost my way,besides you know am not the slut here,I don't go to the brothel shaking my ass looking for someone to give me a dime,I retorted".

"Yes,you are the slut and you know it,you think I don't see the way you look at him?,you think he is ever going to notice you?,Oh no poor Ashley,don't be delusional,kings don't go for trash like you".

"You are no better than I am and you know it"I responded steethily.

"You think so?yet I pull many influential alphas wherever I go and yes! I am not a murderer so I guess that's the only part you are better than me,Killing".Amanda said,laughing with a hand over her mouth like she made a funny statement".

Every one including Amanda knows calling me a murderer was always the last straw to my weakness or sanity,but this time it's the former,I could make her shut up with just a blow but I didn't,I was motionless coupled with the fact she made;That I was a trash,I was nothing.

Just yesterday,Miss arielle told me I am alive for a cause but is this the cause?,to be insulted,mocked and abused??,then why didn't I die with them?

A lone tear fell off my eyes and looking at everyone of the omega's in the kitchen I don't see even a mere shear of compassion and all were standing with a smile on their faces except Rachael who was trying to console me but I don't let her and instead walked away.

"It's just morning and you want to leave your dirty?",Amanda shouted behind me but I didn't listen,I just left.Broken and in tears.
