Chapter Six:Decision

Alexander POV:

I had woke up late and beside me was Megan,ever since the night we had s3x,she has be coming to my room with the plea that she can't sleep due to her nightmares and each time she comes,I try avoiding her by sleeping on the sofa but it didn't go for long before we both lost our self restraint,since then,we have been sleeping together and we are in a good relationship now.

No doubt I feel good with her especially after a usual steamy exercise on bed but I can't get over Ashley.She is my mate and anytime I see her in the field it always awaken a new sensation and the guilt of my act always torment me.

One sunny day as I was strolling beside the field with my mother,I saw how tired she was,I could have ignored but Addie my wolf is always against every thing I feel,But yet I always find myself near the field.The instinct to go wipe those sweat and whisper soothing words and tell her that she is born to be a queen,that she could leave all this behind and be with me where she deserve but the superiority side of me needs a stronger companion and Ashley doesn't fit into that.

"Mate is tired,mate, mate!!,Addie kept pouncing and In just few seconds the thought of lessing her work struck me,I might not love her but I sure could help.

"Mum,how about ashley comes to work in the kitchen.

"I don't think that's a great idea,besides your father wouldn't be happy,you know he always has this mentality of ' a slave should be treated as one' and by doing this you are doing her a favour which she doesn't deserve".

"Mum,others in the kitchen are also slaves like her.

"Well you are the alpha now,if it will make you sleep at night, fine.But I don't think your father would like the sound of it if he finds out.

"Dad is out of town".

I had mind link Carlos in no time and tell him to order the Omega Matron,Mrs Paige,to change Ashley's position.

"What's going on?,Carlos asked through the mind link but I ignored him"Just do as ordered"I added and shut him out.

"Have you met your mate yet?",My mum asked out of the blue.

"No,I responded quickly

My mum is a reserve woman who doesn't like engaging herself with political issues,she is an introvert and rarely communicate with people but if there is one thing she's good at,is observing.

"Then what's Megan to you?.

"Oh,well we are seeing to it,If I don't see my mate,then I would have to chose her".

Though it wasn't fully a lie,I have met my mate but I think choosing Megan would be a good decision.

"There would be a full moon soon,I hope you see your mate,my mum said with a wide smile and I just smiled back.

"But mum,don't you like Megan?''

"I do,but there is never a true bond like the one with your fated mate,but if being with Megan makes you happy,then I'm happy.

Her words kept resonating as we walked round the large garden behind the castle.

"Do I feel happy with Megan?,""Will the bond between us be strong like that of my fated mate??

All these question prob my head but finally I settled that Megan was definitely the right choice for me and the only one who can be my queen to rule alongside me.

Looking at my mum,I was assured I made the right choice.She is the daughter of late alpha Jaime Godfrey;my grandfather,of the Ice blue pack and I have see how she fight alongside my father during times we were attacked,how she is given the honour she deserved aside been the wife of alpha Josh but as an alpha that she is.

I would be going to the training ground mum,I said and left.

Carlos and Alberto were in the field when I arrived.

Don't worry,there will be a raise for you both,I said as I shaked their hands.seeing how Carlos is determined to help train the young wolves;He is not just a friend but a commendable beta.

"Wow,Our alpha is so generous",Alberto hailed excitedly.

"Well at least someone would let my account rest a bit"Carlos said.

Alberto huffed;"Even if I get the highest commission,I will still bother your account,besides that's what big brothers are for,or don't you think alpha Alex?"

"Alberto,I can't relate to be honest"I said and carols shaked his head like he's literally tired of his brother already.

"I would like to speak to you about something,but that's after the training,come to my room when you're done".

"Yes alpha Alexander"

"Don't be silly Carlos,at this moment am your friend"

"What about me,alpha Alexander,Alberto asked childishly"

"Well,as for you,I am alpha Alexander,I said with a small smile.

"But that's unfair Alex...um,alpha Alex how...

"Have a nice day Alberto;I cut him off.Sometimes he could be a prick in the ass,very annoying fellow.

"Are you for real Alex??

Calm down Carl,I wouldn't want anyone listening to our conversation beacause of your outburst,and besides Ashley doesn't know yet that's why I want to make things snappy.The full moon is approaching and my parents are eager to meet my mate,especially my mum.

"See,Alexander,I think you are making a big mistake because definitely she would find out"

"I know the odds and that's why I want to choose Megan and make our relationship official.

"Do you love this girl?

"Yes I do..I mean I have asked my self this question severally and I still end up with the same answer.Just that sometimes am still skeptical but I want to find a space in my heart for her.See Megan is the best for me Carlos,do you expect me,Alexander to be mated to a slave?

"Of course I don't expect,but if that's whom the moon goddess chose to be your companion then the moon goddess didn't choose wrong or have you forgotten she has the beta blood running through her vein.

'Was'Carlos,the day she turned to an omega all tie to any higher position was siviered,she automatically became an omega both in blood and in flesh and nothing is gonna change that.

"Alex,Mating a slave doesn't make you any less neither mating a beta makes you more;remember,Ashley is an even better fighter than megan.

"My decision is final,you can't convi...

"Oh,Beta carl",discussing politics??".Ashley had come in and strode towards me to give a kiss.

"Yeah,I was about leaving"Carlos replied rather awkwardly.

"You are sure you were discussing politics?Megan asked looking towards Carlos and I.Did she hear something??

"Yes,why?,Carlos responded.

"Because I thought it should be done in the office with some papers stacked over the table,but no!all am seeing are two young men talking casually.

"You can talk politics from anywhere,Megan,it's no big deal,I responded as I went to the bathroom.

"I will pass,Carlos said and left for the door.
