Chapter One:Nightmare

Ashley POV

Ashley run....

The rain poured heavily but I could hear the voice of my mother urging me to keep running,but how was I suppose to when I hear the screaming of my brother and my mother

.

With tears in my eyes that has cooperated with the rain,my feet was weak and I couldn't imagine I had run without my mother and brother,but do I have a choice.

I was running but it's like my feet wasn't moving in my command and then a sharp tree sprout stuck my leg...Ahhh

I grasped,it was my nightmare and it has always torment me, reminding me that I was an ingrate or probably a murderer.

With sweat over my body,I went to the local bathroom which were actually for the omegas to clean my self then I set out to the field to do my duties.

Hi Ashley,I turned around to meet a young girl with a radiant smile,"it's been a while” you know,Megan the beta‘s daughter greeted,she was an epitome of beauty I would say with blonde hair and striking green eyes that match her calm temperate.

I knew that smile was just a facade because we never get along but I replied anyways;"Hi meg I wave back awkwardly as I watched her passed proudly.

I was the daughter of the great Beta Macaulay Charles and his lovely wife Cassie Charles,I had a brother Benson Charles and we were a happy family of four until tragedy struck.

Happy birthday Ashley,my mum walked to my bed with my brother behind,Happy birthday big Lili,my brother said childishly.His favourite name for me was big Lili.

Benson was a blessing,he came when my parents weren't expecting and at this time I was celebrating my birthday he was just five.

My mum was holding a big brown-velvet cake with a 16 over the cake,I groggily stood up and hugged my brother who had already ran to my arms"Thank you Ben,I said as he gave me a peck.

"Happy birthday to you,Happy birthday to you.........Hip hip hip Hooray,My mom and brother sang as I cut the cake.May your days be filled with joy and I hope you see your mate soon,my mom joked at the end"Mom am not even eighteen yet; I half yelled,how would I see my mate now"I said as I walked to the bathroom to take my bath.

"I know Ashley,but we just have to pray in advance My mom said with a small laugh.

I rolled my eyes and entered the bathroom."Honey come downstairs for breakfast when you are done okay,I heard my mom said,"Big Lili,I got a gift for you I will give you when you come downstairs okay,Benson shouted and I smiled as I strip my clothes.What a cute boy,I thought.

Why hasn't dad come down for breakfast;"I asked,"Oh your dad said he has something to discuss with Alpha Josh,my mom replied"Is there a problem,cause if he is not at the table it means he left the house so early;I asked worriedly"Yes,I think it's a small matter,don't worry just enjoy your meal,my mom tried to change the topic,I could sense it but I decided not to prop further.After breakfast Benson gave me a bracelet with a bright blue jade.You are the sweetest,I Hugged benson as we went outside.

My dad actually prepared a gift that he was supposed to give me but my mom gave me instead,and the gift is actually in an envelope with a request that i don't open it until am eighteen;How weird but am thankful anyways.My mom also personally gave me her family heirloom for when I would see my mate and I keep wondering why she is always eager to sell me off- cause that's how I see it.

That night,the pack was attacked,and my mum and brother were no where to be found,my dad hasn't come home yet,and I begin to feel like his sudden visit to the Alpha house is because of this attack or is it just my illusion?

I rushed outside and I could hear people running but what was surprising is that,The rougues weren't chasing them,they were coming towards our house and from a bit far distance I could see my mother and brother in their possession,but how??I asked.

Mum!Benson!!I screamed as I ran to them quickly but before I could get too close;Ashley run!My mother shouted,but how? I walked closer and I saw my dad from behind strick the rogue who held my mom and brother,confuse,we began to run into the woods,Ashley go,my dad said weakly as i turned back to him,he was subdued and I had to run,but why isn't nobody helping I thought as I ran behind my mother and brother,just as I thought we have succeeded,a rogue from behind my mother catch a large chunk of her flesh,it was too late for my mum to shift,my brother was held tightly by another rogue.

I felt helpless,I haven't shift yet until eighteen and at this moment I felt vulnerable,I looked at my mum's pleading eye begging me to run and I Ran.Its like I betrayed them but seeing the situation,I had to ,maybe I could live for my family.

A lone tear brought me back to reality and I discovered I was still in the field,I quickly took my tool and set out to the pack kitchen.

See her,"The murderer;I heard whispers as I made my way to the kitchen,"She smells so bad;Amanda,one of the omega spoke.

She has always been full of herself despite been in the same level as every omega but I don't know why everyone flock towards her,she was one of the few member that has made my life miserable in this pack and she saying I smell bad got me,I mean I am used to been called a murderer ever since the death of my parent.

Been the only surviving person every one had said they wished I died with my parent ,that I was the caused of their death since I didn't die and up to this day I don't know how I was the cause,it's a miracle am alive but no!the pack didn't see the good part of it and instead I was reduced from a beta to an omega that equal been a slave.

I tried to ignore the snare and provocative words from Amanda and her group but it got worse when Amanda said;I was an unfortunate child.

Ahh,a loud slap flew from me to Amanda,I don't know when but I knew my anger level was up to my neck,with a loud hiss I strolled into the kitchen,I guess nobody could confront me because I am known for my harsh hit and fierce combat skills,at least I am happy I got that from my father.

The omegas are usually treated as slaves,and that is one thing I hate the alpha for,he is never concern for the lowly members;he was a good man until the death of my parent and I don't know how he changed but I had disliked him from the day he couldn't defend me in front of the angry pack members but instead reduced me to no nothing,I quickly ate the little food I was served and left for my room,while walking I decided to go to the woods.

The woods is my safe place,I mean every normal wolf would always feel attach to the woods,as I took a fresh breath,I sat on a log of wood and then I sighted a couple.

With the smile on the female wolf,I can't imagine how love feels,aside the unconditional love I have received from my parents and best friend I haven't known or feel any other kind of love and I have always crave it.

I am seventeen and I can't wait to meet my inner wolf a year after,then I would be able to shift and one day get to see my mate .I have always want a mate that would cherish and love me,maybe only then can I escape the cruelty of this pack.
