Chapter Thirteen: What war?

I crept back into the dark room, but I was summoned by my dad as if he knew I'd disappeared. I wondered what he would say, my blood ran cold at that thought. Entering his chambers my guilty eyes met his stern gaze.

“Any news about the creature?” he inquired, I guess that Jackob had covered up for me using the creatures as an excuse, which somehow lessened the burden. My gaze still not leaving his, I replied,

“Yes, the creature had some problems with controlling her shape-shifting activities, but- there is no need for you to worry because she has already changed back into her human form,” Dad took a deep breath as he relaxed comfortably on his chair.

He was at ease.

“Now where is she? I supposed at the infirmary or perhaps the guest house?” His voice is now soothing.

“No-” Dad frowned at my words.

“She’s with the Chester's, The wizard house,” I added with a fixed face.
