"I am so sorry, Ash, if I had known you were out there looking for me, I would have come and found you," Sam said, tilting his head so she could snuggle Ash head into his neck. Sam stroked the tips of his fingers down the back of the rustling material of his dress, wanting to comfort her. "For what it's worth, I think the company did us both a favour. I can't promise that life with me will be as it was in past but I promise to dedicate my life to making you as happy as I possibly can. Maybe one day we can convince the other's to help you with your company" he whispered.
"I doubt they would do that now," Ash said, pressing hid nose to his Alpha's scent glands and inhaling deeply, marvelling at the way he smelt like the home Ash had always thought his home in the forested slopes of his mountain had been. "I threw a tantrum before I left and might have done something that I can't take back," Ash said, biting his lip to keep from laughing out loud.

Adom sighs, unbuttoning his suit jacket to be more comfortable. Adom boss seems to have sensed his determination because he finally cracks a small smile, “Fine, but this is your last warning. Adom stays later than usual trying to finish up as much as possible. There’s no one left by the time he packs it in for the night. The office feels eerie with most of its lights off, no sounds of typing or talking echoing throughout the space. If Adom were a lesser man he would have run towards the elevator. Instead he just walks as fast as possible. It’s only a Thursday but the bar is more packed than Adom had anticipated. He looks around and feels out of place in his grey suit. Everyone else is dressed pretty casually, he checks the watch on his wrist and sees that it’s close to midnight. The music is pretty loud but the chatter of the people inside the bar is even louder. He almost drags himself back out before he spots the bartender handing out drinks at the counter and changes his mind. He really needs that drink. Adom steps into the throng of people bustling about, trying to squeeze himself into cracks he finds between bodies so he doesn’t have to really touch anyone. The only good thing so far happens to be the small air diffusers all around the small bar that are doing a great job of keeping everyone’s scents at bay. Adom can’t do anything but look down at where beer has spilled all over his white dress shirt. He almost wants to say something to the guy, can feel his temper rise but in the next second he just huffs out a laugh. He’s so upset that it’s all he can do. Today just isn’t his day. “Woah buddy, I think you’ve had enough for now,” The guy who was being hugged earlier says, stepping in between Adom and his drunk friend. He slants his back towards Adom so he can’t see his face but notices how he has pushed his entire group of friends a little further away so they aren’t so close to Adom now. Adom doesn’t know what he expects, maybe he wanted to feel some kind of accomplishment, as if he had won over this random stranger. But what he gets in return is the other guy laughing happily in his face. Adom leans back a little, startled.
