Although Brandon wanted to attack them right now, he has to step back. Smelling a familiar scent of blood, he finally remembered where he smelled it; the blood smelled like Kayla.

“Why? Did I fear you?” Philomeno asked. “Oh poor Alpha, I thought you are strong? Why do you want to retreat?”

He remained silent, his eyes turned red back to his normal eye color. Brandon was so mad, but he needs to calm himself. He shouldn’t do things harshly especially now that he found out that Philomeno might be Kayla’s father.

“I can’t believe that a mere silver and wolfsbane will make you back down!” Philomeno laughed.

“I’ll get back to you, Philomeno.”

After that, he turned his back and run away from them.

“Fire!” Philomeno shouted.

However, they weren’t able to shoot even one limb of Brandon’s men. They’ve already run away from the hideout, leaving Philomeno clueless.

Even Evan didn’t know what’s with Brandon. He can sense that there was somethi
