Chapter 7

Naomi pov

I couldn’t stop pacing around the room after the Omega came to tell me about dinner.

I couldn’t tell where to start from and what I would say to them while eating with them for dinner.

“This is not good.” I muttered to myself feeling ashamed, I don’t know why I was feeling too ashamed but I really shouldn’t be feeling this way.

I stood up from the bed after summoning the courage to step out of the room. I walked to the mirror and stared at myself, then I closed my eyes and took a deep breath before stepping out of the room.

While walking down the stairs everyone's attention moved to me as I was walking downstairs, it felt like I was sinking inside the ground as I sighted all of them staring at me.

“Hi.” I said awkwardly as I sat down to eat.

“That’s mine.” A light voice from behind said to me the moment I sat on the chair.

“Cassie, don’t be rude.” The Alpha said to her. From the way he sounded I could immediately tell that he was a loving father to my supposed siblings because I’m not sure that’s my family, anything can happen tomorrow.

I stood up and picked another chair to sit on. The moment I sat down I caught all of them staring at me again. It felt so uncomfortable.

“My name is Naomi.” I couldn’t think of a better thing to say because they were all staring at me.

“We’ve heard that name a million times.” Cassie said and heaved a sigh. I realized that what Albert said to me in the woods might be true, he told me that my dad has been searching everywhere for me all these years, hearing what Cassie just said made me see the sincerity in what Albert said to me.

“Cassie.” The Alpha tried calling her to order.

“I’m Annabelle.” My other sister said to me, She seemed very different from Cassie. I smiled at her and lowered my head to start eating. I’ve never eaten such a good looking meal in a while which is why I hesitated to start eating in the first place.

“Do you remember anything about your mom?”

“Dad!” Cassie yelled angrily and slammed her spoon on the dining table. I was shocked at her outburst because I was not expecting such a reaction from her.

“Cassie.” Annabelle called out with her soft voice, it seemed like I was the only one lost because everyone knew why Cassie reacted the way she did.

“Come with me.” Albert rushed towards us and took Cassie away, it was getting less interesting and more confusing to me, I need to understand what’s going on.

I stared at Annabelle’s face with the way she positioned her lips. I could tell she was burning but she controlled herself very well.

“Sorry about that.” My dad said and also left the dining table, it was just Annabelle and I. She focused on her food without saying anything to me, and I thought it'd be best not to ask her any questions.

It got even darker and I could hear a sound from outside, I couldn’t tell where exactly the sound was coming from but it sounded interesting so I stood up to go take a look at what’s going on.

I tiptoed out of the room and quietly closed the door, I kept tiptoeing till I got close to where the sound was coming from.

As I got closer I became more curious to know what’s going on inside the closed door, then I slowly opened the door. In shock I covered my mouth.

It’s nothing I have ever seen before, I was stunned to see all sorts of power demonstrations, it felt like I was in a completely different world, no wonder the Dragonmoon pack is the most respected werewolf pack, no pack is ever beating it.

I walked in and watched everyone demonstrate their power, they looked so busy and no one noticed my presence.

When I got to the front I sighted Cassie and Annabelle theirs was different, anyone could tell they are royalties. As I watched them demonstrate their powers my eyes glowed, and there was this push I kept feeling, I tried controlling myself from going towards them but the pull was too strong for me to control.

I don’t know what happened next but I found myself on the bed when I opened my eyes.

“Huh, why am I here?” I asked myself as I looked around the room, the last thing I remembered was watching my sisters demonstrate their special powers.

“Good thing you’re awake now.” Albert said to me as he walked inside the room, I was pleased to see Albert because only him can explain what happened to me.

“How did I fall unconscious, I mean… how am I here?” Albert, disregarding my question, rushed to get me a bottle of water and handed it to me. I was not interested in the bottle of water, I was more interested in what happened to me.

“You tried to control your special bond power.” I got even more confused when I heard what Albert said to me.

“Power? What are you talking about? I don’t have any special powers.” I tried explaining to him, but Albert wasn’t convinced by what I said to him.

“The Dragonmoon pack is not just known for being strong and wealthy it is also known for its special powers and you belong to the Dragonmoon pack.” I finally understood what Albert was trying to say but what I couldn’t understand is how I suddenly got the powers.

“And when did I get such power?” I asked out of curiosity.

“The day you were born.” I opened my eyes wider than normal because I've had it all along. How did I not know about it earlier?

“But?” (Albert cuts in)

“Shhh, you need to get some rest now I’ll be back to check up on you.” Albert said to me and asked away. When Albert stepped out I realized there’s a lot I need to know about my roots, then I suddenly remembered what happened while we were having dinner the other night.

“I wonder why Cassie reacted that way?”
