42. Heart for Orphans

I tuck the lock of my hair behind my ear in uneasiness and steal a glimpse of him. He is already looking at me.

"Thank you so much, sir for the endowment. People like you think of these children is really helpful." Emma says in courteous manner.

"Oh, it's no problem. Maybe I'll be a benefactor here." Ashar turns his head to look at the children who are running around and playing, "The environment is nice and pleasant here."

I'm impressed by the fact that he has a heart for these orphans. If every wealthy person starts thinking about the needy and helpless people, then no one would be deprived of basic necessities for living. Orphanages need lots of money for raising these children and fulfilling their basic needs like food, clothes, schooling...

"Hey, I'm Lucy." Another volunteer comes forward and greets him, "I've heard about you from the administration. It's good to see you."

Ashar shakes his hand with hers, "Thank you."
