Chapter 41

I was in a room that Darius had given me. As I sat there, I couldn't help but think about the events that had transpired at the breakfast table earlier this morning. Darius had been acting strangely, and I couldn't quite figure out why.

Out of nowhere, Darius had started asking about my mother. It was odd, to say the least, and I couldn't help but wonder what had prompted his sudden interest in her.

When I had asked him about it, he had simply brushed me off, refusing to give me a straight answer. It was frustrating, to say the least, and I found myself growing more and more confused as the day wore on. What was Darius hiding? Why was he so interested in my mother all of a sudden?

As I sat there in the room, lost in thought, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease creeping over me. Something wasn't right, and I was determined to get to the bottom of it. But how? I knew that Darius wasn't going to give me any answers, so I would have to find them on my own.
