Waking Up

Amelia’s POV

It was so dark, and it felt like I was floating on nothing I don’t remember what happened or why I can’t communicate with my wolf Lilac it feels like forever since she had spoken to me. I keep hearing beeping sounds and feel someone grabbing my hand but can’t see anything I try to open my eyes, but I can’t. Then I hear it a soft whisper it’s a man’s voice. “Come on baby you can fight this it’s time to wake up there is a lot of people ready to meet you” he sounds sad who is this man and why is he calling me baby I think to myself. I try again to call out for Lilac. Lilac are you there I need to talk to you can you hear me I say. Still no response I start crying wondering if she had died. Lilac please where are you I’m scared.

I’m here Amelia I’m here but I’m very weak Lilac says I almost didn’t make it. What happened to us I ask. There was an accident Lilac says I tried to heal us but because I’ve never done it before it threw our body into shock, we almost didn’t make it. What kind of accident I ask. I can’t say for sure, but we have been like this for some time now. Beep beep beep beep beep what is that I ask. I don’t know Lilac says. Then we hear the man’s voice again.

“Come on cupcake wake up” Lilac who is that I ask. I’m not sure Amelia. Lilac says but I can sense him we will be safe with him. How do you know we will be safe with him we don’t know him. I can sense his wolf he’s very concerned about us, and I can sense we will be safe with them. She says once again. You just need to wake up. What if it’s a trap what if he is working with my father. I yell at Lilac he’s not Lilac says I can sense him he’s very protective over us and very concerned. You just need to wake up. Wake up Amelia wake up Lilac yells it’s time for us to wake up.

I try again to open my eyes, but I can’t I hear the beeping again I try one more time nothing. The beeping is getting louder and faster I try again nothing. I feel someone touch my hand again and place a soft kiss on it. I feel at peace when he did that, I try to open them again. This time it’s working I try harder as I hear the soft words of encouragement. I try again it’s working Lilac it’s working. My eyes slowly start to flutter open. The light is so bright I shut them again. I hear someone yell dim the lights. Then the soft words of encouragement again. "Come on cupcake you can do this”. With one last try my eyes finally open. I look around the beeping had finally slowed. Where am I. I ask then I hear the soft angelic voice again. You're in the hospital I brought you here. How long have I been asleep I ask. 2 weeks cupcake he says. With the look of relief and concern on his face. I look around again and notice he’s still holding onto my hand. I quickly yank it away not knowing who this strange man is who is holding my hand and calling me cupcake. And who the hell are you and why are you calling me cupcake? I ask this time his look goes from relief and concern to complete and utterly shock.

I look around again and see a female with a white coat on and who the hell is this. I ask. She chuckles and tells me. I’m Dr.Brans I have been your doctor since you’ve come in 2 weeks ago. This is Alpha and before she could finish 2 more men come rushing into the room I startle and fall out of the bed. Terrified of what they may do to me I curl up in a ball on the ground and start crying hysterically.

Before I could look back up, I felt someone come around and wrap their arms around me. I lean into the huge and start to feel myself relax his scent is intoxicating like fresh beach breeze and lemons. I lean in closer wrapping my arms around him. I don’t know why but I felt safe with him, and his scent soothes me. Shh shh shh it’s ok cupcake no one here is going to hurt you. You are going to be okay I promise ok. I feel myself completely relaxed now and finally look up at his face. It’s the same man that was holding my hand when I woke up. I take in his face and stare into his perfect baby blue eye he has mocha color hair that is short but curly his skin tone is a light brown he’s tall very tall and masculine.

He starts to pick me up and I lean right into his chest. Completely relaxed now as he lays be back into the bed. Before he could walk away, I grab his arm and pull him to sit on the bed with me. He does just that and wraps his arms around me. What is your name he asks. I look up at him and whisper Amelia he smiles down at me and tells me that’s a very beautiful name cupcake. A beautiful name to go with a beautiful woman. I slightly blush and put my head back into his chest he chuckles lightly before speaking again.

I’m Alpha Adrian and the 2 ding bats that just barged into the room are my Beta Lucas and my gamma Garrett. I am the alpha of the Full Blue Moon pack. You are in our pack hospital. We brought you here when you darted in front of our truck and accidentally hitting you when you dashed out of the woods. Do you remember anything from before we hit you. I look up at him and shook my head no and whispered I don’t remember anything at all.

The doctor then walks over and proceeds to tell him this is normal for someone who was in a coma for 2 weeks give her some time and everything will come back to her in time. He nods then looks down at me. Are you hungry my little cupcake. He asks me I look around and at everyone in the room then look back at him. I slowly shook my head yes. Alrighty what are you in the mood for what is your favorite food. I shrugged my shoulders and whispered I don’t know. He looks at me confused then back at the other 2 men Lucas Garrett yes alpha they respond go down to the kitchen and have the cook prepare as many dishes as quick as possible and bring them up. Yes, alpha they respond at the same time and walk out of the room.

Alright cupcake the food will be up soon would you like to take a shower and change I brought you some fresh clothes to change into. I looked up at his surprised wondering why is he being so nice to me I don’t know him but somehow felt comfortable and protected with him. I shook my head once more and started to get off the bed but before I could walk, I fell to the ground again. Oh, cupcake let me help you. He gets up and helps me to my feet so he can walk me towards the bathroom. Wait I think to myself I don’t want this man to see me naked so right before we get to the bathroom door, I stop to look at him then back to the bathroom door and shook my head no. He looks sad but then smiles like he understood what I meant before saying a word. Then says let me get a nurse to help you shower is that ok with you. I shook my head yes. He smiles ok. Just give me a minute and I’ll find someone as he sits me in a chair and walks out.

About 5 mins later he comes back in with a couple of female nurses. One went to start the shower and put a shower chair in there and the other helped me onto my feet and started walking towards the bathroom with me. Once I’m in the bathroom both nurses helped me undress and into the shower, they started washing my hair and body. I didn’t realize how matted my long chocolate hair was so they started conditioning and detangling my hair so we could avoid having to completely chop it off. About 30 mins later I was finally done they managed to completely detangle my hair brushed and braided it to prevent it from tangling anymore helped me dress into some sweatpants and a baggy shirt both were big on me even though they were the smallest size because I was so malnourished and skinny. They helped me up and walk out of the bathroom.

Right when I walked out there, he was waiting for me. When he seen me, his eyes sparkled like I was the beautiful thing on this earth. Then walked over grabbed my hand thanked the nurses and walked me to my seat. When I was seated comfortably, I looked around and there were so many dishes from pasta to pizza even chicken and steak. He looks at me realizing how big my eyes had gotten from seeing all the food and asked do you like it pick whichever one you want. This is all for you. I look up at him shocked and surprised and whispered all of it. He chuckles and say yes you need to eat so have whatever you want.

I was starving and went straight got the steak I’ve never had steak before I told him. He looked upset and said really, I just looked up at him and nodded my head. The look of anger flashed over his face, and I started to get scared, so I pushed the steak away and went for something else. He seen this and immediately started to panic and told me. Cupcake I’m not angry that you want the steak I’m just angry that you’ve never had it and hand the steak back to me here cupcake eat. This is all for you he told me.

I sat there and ate as much of it I could thinking to myself I’ve never had this much food in my life. By the time I was done I was so full and started to get sleepy again. Are you getting tired cupcake Adrian said while pulling me from my thoughts I yawned and shook my head yes. He then picked me up bridal style and went to place be on the bed. After he was done, he went to take his spot on the chair next to me. Adrian, I said have you been sleeping in this chair the whole time I was in a coma. He looks into my eyes with those angelic baby blue eyes of his and nodded his head yes. Then proceeded to tell me I haven’t left your side since day one I stay here and sleep here I even eat and shower here I never left so in case you woke up I would be here for you.

I looked down at him with teary eyes then pulled on his arm and motioned for him to get in the bed next to me. His eyes beamed for a second but then faded and said are you sure cupcake. I nodded my head yes, he slowly got up off the chair and climbed in right next to me wrapping his arms around me while I berried my head into his chest. I don’t understand why but I feel complete when he is next me, I feel but before I could finish that thought I was already fast asleep in his arms.
