Chapter 51

Alpha Farrell’s Pov

I sat with her until the sun lay low on the horizon. Darkness chasing away and overtaking the sky. She did not look like she wanted to leave, holding her hands over her knees, probably daydreaming. I turned my head, moving from the grassy floor where I was sitting.

“It’s almost two years now, and it’s still this way?” Ora asked as I moved away from her, walking some distance away from her.

“I don’t know,” I answered as I stood, watching the pink and orange blend into the dark blue of the night.

It wasn’t just a feeling, but I did not see her reciprocating it and I kept it to myself. If there was anything I could do, it was to put myself in a state of ridicule.

“We’ll just keep on waiting for anything,” I said as I raised my eyes to look at the stars. The moon stood on one side, holding itself against the backdrop of darkness as it embodied the reflection of the sun, while I watched it, lost in the most random of thoughts.
