When John and his colleague went inside the hotel restaurant after saying goodbye to them, Lin, Oo, Pan Che, and Eli left the hotel to meet the greetings of the heat of the noon sun with its scorching hand and that compelled them to walk very close to the shade formed by the tall building along the upper block of Sule Pagoda Road.
The road has its name naming after 45-meter high Sule Pagoda which is situated in the street. It is surrounded by famous buildings like City Hall, Immanuel Baptist Church, and Mahabandoola Park.
In fact, the word “Sule” is derived from “Suway” which means “assembly”. In “Ancient Monuments in Burma”, the time when the pagoda was built is mentioned and it was in B.C 326. It has gained its splendor by the successive renovation of devotees: Kings and subordinates alike.

2018, May, Star Art Gallery, Bosunpat Street, YangonOn a day in the first week of May, Lin had to attend a meeting for the heritage festival at Star Art Gallery on the lower block of Bosunpat Street (formerly known as Maung Htaw Lay Street). 2018, July, Yangon It was a Saturday morning in the second week of July. Last night, it was raining heavily and Lin could not sleep well because of the noisy pattering of raindrops on the corrugated roofs. He also heard coconut trees and mango trees in front of his house were hushing and swaying wildly when the strong wind blew. So, he closed all the windows not to let rain in. He guessed all were drenched with rain and the gutters attached to the roofs would overflow with rainwater. He knew that some parts of the city would be flooded if the drainages were blocked with rubbish and plastic bags.
