A FAKE LIFE

KHLOE'S POV

"So what's your name?” I asked the mysterious man as he escorted me out of the grand doors, down the stone paved drive way, and past the iron gated fence to reveal a stunning black limo, sleek in it's elegance. It's paint job was superb and it was clearly evident from the way it gleamed in the moon light.

"James ma'am." He responded as he stretched out his right hand, white gloved and thin, to open the back door of the limo, while he gestured with his left hand at me as if to encourage me to step in to the vehicle.

"Oh really? That is a nice name." I said as I smiled a little, I was nervous, so nervous about how the day might turn out and how I might end up. I doubted that I could keep up with being Emily for too long. I knew deep down that I was a bad actress.

"Thank you my lady." He responded as I stepped in to the car, careful not to get the edge trapped in the cracks of the door as James closed it so gently but still firmly as he should.

The interior of the limo looked very chic. It's seats were of a plush black leather with little white lights at the roof of the car. I looked by my side, to my left and saw a bouquet of flowers, roses to be precise, its’ stalks wrapped in a plastic transparent bag while the flower petals were left in the open air which allowed it's lovely scent to saturate the entirety of the vehicle.

The front door slammed after James turned around and entered the drivers seat. I could see him through the one way glass partition. He turned the key in the ignition, making the engine of the car hum and vibrate as we zoomed off.

I looked back at the bunch of flowers then picked it up out of curiosity to inhale the glorious fragrance. I felt a rush of excitement flow through me. Never have I thought I would be in a situation like this, in a car like this. I put it close to my nose and inhaled deeply, and some thing hard and plastic fell on my hand and tumbled in to my lap. Curious I looked down to see a pink colored card, I picked it up then turned it over. There were six words written in flowing elegant cursive script: FOR YOU MY ONE TRUE LOVE.

My heart skipped a beat, a smile curling up my lips.

I could not lie I was my moved by the gesture and the care, I had not met him yet well maybe Emily had but I, the soul and mind of Khloe had not, but from the words of high praise my new parents had uttered about him and the eagerness in Aria and Ivy's respective faces, bolstered my confidence in his character and possible charm.

My only hang up so far was that he was not here with me right now but had instead sent James, his chauffeur or butler whichever ones James was.

I felt a great urge to ask him why he didn’t come to pick me up himself because the curiosity to meet him was eating me up so deeply but I stopped myself from doing that. This wasn’t the first time him and Emily would have a date after all, so maybe this was their usual routine.

Back in my past life, I never managed myself getting married or having a family. I had always thought I would end up dying single. Funny how things changed so drastically. Maybe now I can finally have a happy family.

I felt really all warm and fuzzy inside as I thought of how much he must care for me to go through all these hoops just so I could feel relaxed and at ease and yet I felt like a despicable human being because It felt like I was an imposter, a stand in, a fake for the real Emily, it was Emily the girl in whose body I now strangely resided, whom he loved.

He did not love me, not the real me any way, not me, me, not Khole. There was no way he would love me because nobody did. Not even my foster Mother. He did not even know me and it made me feel awful, like I was cheating to win a prize I did in no way deserve.

Additionally, I could not shake the feeling that the name Andrea seemed more familiar than it should have been considering that I was in a stranger's body living a stranger's life.

I could all most swear that the name Andrea meant some thing to me, but for the life of me I could not remember what.

I raised up my hand to my face and looked down at my fingers. These fingers belonged to some one, some one who was not me, she had dreams and hopes and aspirations but her life was cruelly cut short, snuffed out by a malevolent entity whose name I did not yet know.

Emily had been wronged there was no doubt about that, she deserved to live to see her dreams fulfilled.

A father and mother had been robbed of a daughter, and two girls had a sister stolen away from them….. taken, cruelly from this world never to return again, and the worst part of it was that they had no clue, none of them by all accounts had so much as an inkling that their daughter was dead and a total stranger now resided within her body.

I clenched my fingers in to a fist and within me I swore justice for Emily. Both our killers would pay.

The limo tyres gave a loud screech as it came to an abrupt stop, making me lurch forward a little bit. I regained my composure just as James climbed out of the car to open my door and I stepped out still clutching the bouquet.

We had stopped at a very ritzy looking upper class restaurant and a brown-haired waiter stood in front of the opaque glass doors .

"Welcome lady Emily." He said with a bright smile on. "Master Andrea is waiting for you in the lobby, the entire restaurant has been booked to allow you some measure of privacy." He informed, and I forced on a smile, my lips shaking, and my heart thudding fast.

“Do follow me.” He informed then led the way, and I did as said, walking gently behind him. James stayed back in the limo as I walked into the lobby. My curiosity level soaring higher.

My eyes landed on a young looking Wolf dressed in a close fitting black suit with his broad back was turned to me. He finally turned to look my way.

All of a sudden it came crashing down on me why the name Andrea had sounded so familiar, I would recognize that distinctive square jawline any where, those deep blue eyes had looked at me before though not in the way they were looking at me now. Not in admiration and awe but in disgust and pity.
