START OF A NEW LIFE

KHLOE'S POV

I sent another glance at my reflection in the mirror. I was dressed in the gown my secret admirer had sent. It was a stunning, I did not know him, my secret admirer I mean but I had to give him points for style and his apparent fashion sense which going by this dress, was on the mark.

The dress was velvet silk, with red colouring and bits of jet black trim especially at the hem of the dress. I turned around and did a little twirl allowing the dress to ripple and flow all around my legs, creating an unbroken circle of red and black.

I looked so beautiful. I looked different. I know you think it’s because my face changed but it isn’t. I felt this sense of pride or should I call it fulfillment. Growing up I have always dreamed of dressing up in fancy dresses and having a princess walk, with my hair packed up like that of Cinderella, and have my Prince Charming come for me.

Maybe this wasn’t all but this was close. Very close to fulfilling my fantasy.

Maybe this was my time.

Sorry real Emily. Guess I might have to borrow your body for some more time.

It felt a bit awkward though walking in her body. She had just the right amount of curves, and her boobs, they seem heavier than mine was. Her butts too. It made me feel like a model. Maybe she should have been a model. Maybe I could make that happen.

I shoved aside my daydreaming habit and stepped out the door, walking down towards the family dinning room where the entire family was gathered.

"Wooooww!" Aria squealed as she turned around on her chair as her eyes grew wide and she arched her eyebrows.

I smiled softly. For a weird reason, I didn’t feel uncomfortable around them. For a brief moment, I forgot that I used to be Khloe, the useless omega. I was just happy with the turn of event. With this twist in fate.

This was a new life, and I was going to try my best to live it to the fullest cause who knows when I might wake up from this dream.

"You look beautiful Emily." Mom said as she smiled warmly, and I felt my heart squeeze gently.

If only she knew I wasn’t her child. If only she knew her real child’s soul was no where to be found.

Now that it crossed my mind. I was curious to know what had happened to Emily. Why we had switched souls? And who had attempted to kill her?

That had to be it right?

Someone killed her then we switched souls. Did that mean that I was in danger too.

My heart raced in fear. I heaved out a sigh and pushed it behind me. I didn’t want to bother about all that now. I just wanted to leave a better life this time.

"Thanks Mom" I said as I smiled at her too.

Yes, lying felt weird. Calling her mom left this weird taste on my tongue. But I had to do what I had to do to survive.

"So when is Andrea going to get here, Mom." Ivy said as she walked all around me in tight circles. She seemed curious, or was it excitement, maybe one could say both. For someone who sounded like she despised my so called fiancé, I didn’t expect her to be this thrilled.

"He said he would be here by 8 o'clock on the dot. It is still thirty minutes after seven, he will be here." Dad said and lowered his eyes to continue reading the book he held in his palms. "Besides it gives more time to steel your nerves honey, you are shaking like a leaf." He added.

Yes he was right.

Yes I suppose I was trembling a little bit as I did not know what to expect, the double life I lived was not easy by any means. I had just started getting used to life as Emily Winston and now a date with a secret admirer I knew absolutely nothing about.

Maybe a part of me feared that this secret admirer might notice the difference. He might have me figured out, and in no time my head would be served as dinner.

But was he a secret admirer when he wasn’t so secret anymore?

I heaved out another sigh.

Weird!

Though I could not say how I knew, but the name Andrea Prince felt so familiar as though I had heard it before, like a lost memory or the sound of musical lyric that would not just come to mind.

I sat down beside Aria, smoothing out and smoothing down my dress as I did so. I reclined back on the chair.

"Do not slouch Emily!" Mom snapped. "That sort of behavior is un becoming of a lady." She reprimanded in a very stern tone.

I immediately sat up right and put my back up straight. "I’m sorry...Mom." I responded. Maybe soon my old habits will point me out. It seemed a little bit weird and strange to say the very least , that this stern faced woman who sat across from me was my mother in any way. It all just seemed too bizarre for words.

Suddenly there was a 'ding dong' at the door from the doorbell, and a servant rushed to go answer the door.

"Exactly eight. That would be him, very punctual fellow." Dad said, his eyes still on his watch, a smile curling up his lips and mustache.

"That is our Andrea." Mom added, beaming proudly.

For a unknown reason, they all seem to approve of him.

"Kids get up, let us give your sister the room." Dad said and shooed away Aria and Ivy who didn’t want to leave just yet. Their cries and complaints loud enough for all to hear.

"But it is not yet bedtime!” Ivy roared and stamped her feet on the floor to show her disapproval.

I watched a gentleman walk up to me. He was dressed in Black suit with a cap on his head.

“Good day, Ma. My Master asked me to get you.” He said with a bow.

I let out a soft oh, and nodded, bitting on my lower lip, my heart thudding so loudly against my rib cage.

Too bad I had thought he was Andrea.

Was it weird that I was eager yet nervous to meet him?
