Kat's POV I was surrounded by darkness, like I had been swallowed up by it. I couldn’t feel anything. I was completely weightless, floating in a huge void. “Cara?” I reached out for her. No response. I couldn’t feel her presence with me either. I tried to think back, remember how I got here. My mind seemed clouded, fuzzy. It was like looking at static on a TV screen, the picture distorted. “Cara!” I yelled out for her again as a sense of dread spread over me. Where was she? Even when we were fighting, I could always feel her somewhere in the back of my mind. Now, it was like she disappeared altogether. As my anxiety increased, I felt myself hyperventilating.
