MasukDANA
Dana Greene stood by her window staring at the crowd that had gathered downstairs waiting for the Alpha to come make an announcement. It felt unusual because the last time the pack had gathered like this was the loss of a great member. Is there a loss again? She thought. If there is a loss, I as the Luna should have known about it, there had been no whispers or murmurs of the loss of anyone, even the Alpha has not told me anything about it. “ My Luna, thé Alpha awaits you.” Her maid’s voice jolted her out of her thoughts. “ Today feels strange,” Dana said as she turned her back for her maid to knot her corset. “ I think the Alpha is about to announce bad news.” the maid said as she knotted the last tie. Her heart skipped as the maid made mention of bad news. There was fear in her eyes and her heart began to race. What could be the bad news, Alden didn’t tell me anything about any news. She walked out of her room through the hallway with her maid following her from behind. She reached where the Alpha was standing, he stood firm, his back facing towards her. She moved closer to the Alpha standing beside him, lifting her hand in the air for the Alpha to take in her hand, but her hand was left hanging in the air and this made her raise her head to look at the face of the Alpha whose expression remained cold and void of emotion. What could be wrong? The Alpha walked outside to where the pack was gathered while Dana followed from behind, her mind racing with so much uncertainty. “ I greet you all with the Silvercrest pack, the moon goddess has made her decision on my fate, but I’m here today to decide on my own,” he said, while the crowd remained silent as a graveyard. “ I Alpha Alden packer rejects Dana Greene as my mate.” she is to leave the pack and no one is allowed to help her.” Those words echo in Dana’s mind shattering her hearts to pieces. “ Alden no! You..can’t do this. ” she whispered, her voice trembling. “ I’ve made my decision and that’s final,” he said, as he walked away, his voice cold and unemotional. Dana ran after him into his chamber, her heart pounding. “ Alden, please you can’t do this to me,” she said, her voice quivering, as tears gathered in her eyes. “ You said you loved me. ” she sniffed, you promised we’d rule this pack together, form a strong pack, and have an heir.” she lamented. “ What about Alden? ” Alden turned his back sharply, his forehead creasing and his eyes blazing with red. “ I can’t rule this pack with a cheat and a liar.” he spat out as he slammed his hand on the table. “ Wait, what? …what do you mean I’m a cheat?.” Dana raised her brows in confusion. “Haven’t you been sleeping around with Damon?.” he said, his voice laced with disgust. “Damon? Why would I even do that.” Dana asked in confusion. Was that why Damon was being taken away to the Dungeon not too long ago? she thought. “ I swear I have never cheated on you Alden,” Dana said while trying to choke back her tears. “ I. I love you Alden, I have always loved you.” Her voice began to tremble as tears started trailing down her face. She remembers the day the moon goddess had announced her as Alden’s mate, the way Alden had looked into her eyes with nothing but love and affection. He had muttered those words to her“ I love you, Dana.” “ I never loved you, Dana, it was all infatuation .” His cold voice jolted her back from her thoughts. “ What about the moon goddess decree? ” Dana asked “ That’s her decision, I have made mine. ” Alden replied “ Alden we can work this out, I promise. ” “ No, it’s too late.” “ Alden, please. ” Dana walked close to him trying to place her hand on his shoulders “ Don’t!..don’t you dare.” Alden fired at her, She flinched. “Guards!” Two sentinels rushed into the chamber. “ Take her away immediately!.” He ordered. The two guards grabbed Dana by her two arms and began to pull her away, her long dress sweeping the floor. “ Alden Noo …please, don’t do this, you are going to regret this. ” She wailed as they continued to pull her away, away from her life where she had longed for, grown and found comfort. She was taken into a carriage, her mind began to waiver back to what Alden had said “You cheat and liar.” Those words echoed through her mind hitting her like a brimstone as though she just heard them again. She lingers her head on the wall of the carriage, her mind filled with unanswered questions How could she possibly be a cheat, when she used to be Alden’s most lovely being, she wondered. Alden was happy the moon goddess had mated them, what could have made his feelings change overnight, What could have possibly gone wrong? Why did Alden think she cheated on him? And most importantly how is she going to survive outside the pack, her home where she has spent all her life? Those thoughts filled Dana’s mind as the carriage slowly rode outside of the pack’s house. The carriage stopped abruptly, causing Dana to jolt forward with the horses neighing in confusion. “ Take her far away where she will never find her way.”A feminine voice said sharply, cutting through Dana’s thoughts. That voice sounds familiar, she thought, fear gripping her mind. She tried to look out of the carriage to know who the person was but the covers of the carriage altered her view. A feminine figure walked from the back of the carriage going into the pack house, her back to Dana, wearing a long layered black gown she adjusted her hood to fully cover her head blocking anyone from seeing her face. Dana’s heart began to race, her palms began to feel sweaty, and her body began to tremble as cold shivered down her spine. “ Who could that be?.” Dana whispered fear gripping her voice as she clutched her hands together trying to stop her trembling fingers.~Dana~ (Six moons later) Dana walked alongside Milan in the fields of the moon crest pack. The air was filled with earthly scents of different flowers. She halted suddenly, the patch of the yarrow plant drawing her attention, the familiar fern-like shape pulling her memories to the past. Kneeling, she brushed her hands over the white -feathery plant, recalling the way Alden’s hand had carefully crushed the plant, making a poultice for her wound. The way he had maintained a focused expression while gently placing the poultice on her wound flooded her mind bringing her comfort in the moment. “ Dana,” Milan's voice jolted her from her thoughts. “Are..you alright?.” Milan asked her voice calm and soft. “ Yeah.. just admiring them. ” Dana replied, gesturing her hands to the Yarrow plant, a small smile on her face. “ You know, My Father.”Milan smiled as Dana stood in concentration. “ My Father used to use this plant too, When I was young after jumping around the fields and I s
~Alden~ Alden entered his chambers, the weight of the Battle still all over him, his body ached with every step he took, but the soreness from the fight was not what even bothered him but the feeling he had been having since the day before, something he just couldn’t explain. He sat forcefully on his bed, using his hands to run through his face, trying to make the feelings go away. What was it? Why does everything seem blurry like he was under the effect of something, he wondered. His mind went back to the war, the chaos, the blood, the growls, the defeat. They were things he had seen countless times in Battles but this time they weighed heavier that was not it, there was something more that he could not understand. He clenched his fist in frustration, growling in anger, he reached out to a cup of water on his table gulping everything forcefully. He slammed his hands on the table, facing his head downwards, his head hurting with frustration. He didn’t have time for what wa
~Dana~ The smell of nice scented candles filled the air, the place was warm and the bed was so soft. Dana squished the pillow, curled up in the bed, and squeezed her eyes tighter. Immediately her eyes flew open as she sat up quickly, and the calm of the sleep disappeared in a flash. where am I?.” Her brows furrowed with confusion lying in her voice. “Oh, you’re awake.” a bubbly voice said, making her turn her head towards the direction. “Who are you?” Dana asked, her voice trembling. “ I’m Milan,” she said as she dropped a book on the desk while standing up from the couch, and walking close to where Dana lay. “Why am I here? How did you find me? Where is this place ?.” Dana asked all in one breath “ One question, please. ” Milan replied with a warm smile on her face. “ Okay I will start by answering your first question .” she paused for a while as she took a seat close to the bed. “ You’re here because I saved you from some Rogue werewolves who nearly took your life i
~Alden~ In his sleep, Alden’s mind spiraled to the first time he met Dana, her thick brown hair was lying on her shoulders, she wore an off-shoulder red corset Victorian gown hugging her frame, and her radiant smile was just as bright as the weather. “ You are breathtaking,” he said, his voice calm. Dana's smile widened. “I can’t wait for the moon goddess to bless us as Mate,” he said, staring calmly at Dana’s eyes. “ I can only hope the moon goddess agrees,” Dana replied, her voice soft with uncertainty. Alden’s mind began to drift further, a sharp voice sliced through his mind, and the once calm aura turned dark and cold. “ Dana cheated on you with Damon, your best friend, she is not fit to be your mate, and you made the right choice by sending her away.” Adria’s voice cuts through, her voice is cold, her eyes fury as she repeats those words like a mantra while hovering over Alden’s face. Alden immediately woke up from his dream, seeing Adria smiling over him. “ wh..

( 19 years old Dana and Adria) “ My heart is for him.”Adria said cheerily.“ I mean the way he looks at me each time is just so…” She placed her palm on her chest, heaving a dramatic sigh. “ What about Damon?.” Dana questioned, altering Adria’s stance. “ Tsk.. I’m not into him anymore. ” Adria said, scrunching her nose in disgust. “ I thought you wanted to spend the rest of your life with him,” Dana said, twitching her lips sideways, raising her brows. “ That was then … when I was blind in love, Now I can see that my heart is for Alden, soon-to-be the Alpha.” Adria smiled, a dreamy look on her face. Dana’s heart flinched a bit, what if she told her Alden’s Heart was for someone else? Alden had told her they were meant for each other and yet here is Adria, her best friend believing Alden is hers. Is something wrong somewhere? Could it be that she was mistaken? Well, Alden had told me he loves and I love him too, I can’t give up my heart for my friend, she thought. “What
