A slip of the tongue

By the time Becca was in her eighth month of pregnancy, she began her maternity leave at the insistence of her doctor. Luckily enough, Sandra, whose position she had been sort of occupying, was back, but Becca was told that she was welcome to come back if she wanted a job after her maternity leave was over. Her last day in the school before her leave was one that would forever be ingrained in her memory. The kids she taught had all come with presents for her unborn baby, and with the help of Sandra, had thrown a small party in school for her, complete with a cake. It was the sweetest thing that had happened to her in a long while, and Becca had found herself crying profusely and alarming some of the kids.
