Divorce Decree

“Good news?” Chloe wondered.

Victoria excitedly waved the file in the air as she exclaimed, “Tada…the divorce decree just came from the court.”

Excited, Chloe grabbed the file and tore it open.

“This is officially stating that you, Chloe Knightley won the divorce suit against George Marlowe and I, Victoria Amazing Kensington retain my title as the ‘Unicorn’ in the legal field.” Victoria giggled excitedly as she offered herself a place to sit.

Chloe grinned from ear to ear as she digested the contents of the decree. “I might not know what your title means but I do absolutely agree you are amazing.”

“Oh, I'd gladly tell you.” Victoria said as she sat back and offered herself a glass of wine. “I’ve never lost a case in my career– as rare as the Unicorn. You get it?” She asked after explaining.

Chloe sighed heavily, her smile quickly disappearing from her face, “That means Laila lost her first case.”

Victoria sipped a glass and replied, “That's what she gets for crossing me.”
