ANNABELLA'S POV

The sound of drums hit my ears, and I thought it was weird, but not until it came repeatedly. The smell in the air was a bit different, it was like the energy was a bit different from usual.

My eyes flipped open, and the familiar ceiling I always wake to appeared before me. I sighed; it was just like the rest of the nights; I couldn't sleep the entire night, and each time I closed my eyes. The only thing I saw was the picture Kane showed me, I wasn't sure how long I was going to stay in the demon kingdom.

But I guess it was a bit better than living in the pack, where I would see Juliet's face every time.

My eyes landed on the clock against the wall the minute I sat up, and it was still early in the morning, not past my workout time.

I have been stepping inside the gym frequently recently because it helps me keep myself busy and speed up time. Thanks to the few times I trained with Vincent, I could grab a fist and throw a successful punch.
