Daisy's POV
Where the hell is that jerk? Not that I care but I can't turn in my ticket to Mr. Fiddles without my partner.
I snort, Fiddles, what kind of name is that?
I am not really surprised that Hunter showed up late, in fact, I wish he gets left behind but that's not possible because of three reasons.
1. His dad is one of the partners of the school.
2. His family owns this airport
3. Both the students and teachers of Gale high school adore him and his troop of friends because they are all rich as hell.
It's not that all other students are poor or anything, after all, Gale high school is for the prestigious; we're all heirs or heiresses to something. Some are just superior to others. I look around the private section of the airport where we were currently waiting.
As if summoned by my thoughts, three sport cars show up and park in the space that was reserved specially for them. I guess they felt they were all too good compared to all the other students to consider riding with everyone in the bus like the school recommended. Hunter's friends climb out and start approaching the airport's entrance while hollering greetings and playful insults to their teammates.
As if in a chick flick in which the heroes come out of the car in slow motion and then proceed to wave their hair and laugh, Hunter and Dean exits the last car and just like that, they have everyone's attention. I hear a few girls giggling beside me and I feel like smacking sense into them. Are you blind? Hunter is a freaking asshole!
Okay, I won't lie, while Dean is really good looking; Hunter's attractiveness beats Dean's by a long shot. With his chiseled jaw, His blond hair and hazel eyes and his ripped but not overly muscular body, he is every girl's dream.
But the thing about him that annoys me is that he is the most arrogant playboy I've ever seen. He knows he's attractive and he isn't afraid to use it against girls. For me, that kills all his good-looks.
Dean on the other hand is the guy I've been crushing on since junior year, I know he also messes around with girls but he's the most laid back guy I've ever seen. I'm broken out of my train of thought as I focus on the approaching figures of Hunter and Dean.
As they walk pass me, Dean offers a "Hi Daisy" and I go red in the face. Thankfully though, he doesn't notice, but Hunter; that jerk, smirks as if he knows a secret I don't as he and Dean struts on.
"Huh, would you look at that. You're so cute. Did Dean say hi to you again? You've got to be cool about it, you seriously need lessons from the master who in case you're wondering is me" Chloe says as she and Bloom who are both my best friend approach me.
I blush harder and then mumble a weak "shut up" causing them to chuckle louder.
"Damn, he looks good enough to eat" Chloe suddenly says referring to Hunter whose back is currently facing us as he talks with his group of friends which makes me glare at her in reprimand.
As if sensing that we were talking about him, he turns and winks at Chloe who in turn goes red in the face. I snort, master, my foot.
Since Hunter a.k.a the jerk had finally decided to show up, I can now turn in my ticket. I walk up to their group and tap his shoulder. All eyes in the group turn to me; eyes belonging to Hunter, Dean, Mark, Daniel, Blake and Tyler. His friends are pretty cool though unlike him. They all mutter things like
"Hi daisy",
"What's up?"
"how ya doing?"
"looking good babe", the last one coming from Blake who flirts with anything with a skirt. I respond to their greetings while Hunter excuses himself from the conversation.
He scowls at me as soon as we're away from his friends.
"What now, did your witch coven ask you to come gouge my heart out for dinner" Hunter asks and I scowl back at him.
"We were supposed to turn in our tickets together earlier as partners and if a certain annoying brat hadn't been late, I would be happily settled in the plane by now. I wonder what Mr. Fiddles was thinking pairing me up with you" I yell at him.
"Tough luck, you're stuck with me and it's not as if I want to be paired with you either. I would've preferred someone a little bit more..............." he runs his eyes up and down my body and turns his mouth up into a sneer "......eye catching". he completes.
I scowl harder and angrily march to where Mr. Fiddles was collecting and rearranging tickets in wishing I could strangle his arrogance out of him. At least, he had the decency to follow me. After our names had been registered, we were asked to proceed into the plane.
I was assigned the seat between Dean and Hunter making me particularly giddy, though I knew Hunter's presence would dampen my excitement a little bit but I wouldn't let it weigh me down because Dean would be there.Maybe this time, I would actually have enough courage to hold a normal conversation with him.
Making my way back to my friends, I spot Hunter shoving his tongue down a girl's throat in a corner. I shake my head in disgust and probably pity for the girl whose name I'm sure he won't remember tomorrow. Somebody then taps me on the shoulder and I fly out of my skin in fright.
"Calm down Daisy, It's just me" A deep chuckle escapes from the person who almost scared me to death and I almost melt into a puddle of goo because I'd recognize that voice anywhere.
It's Dean.Daisy's POV"Hey" I say "what's shaking" I add. Seriously! What's shaking? I should probably start crawling into the ground now. I quickly look over to where Hunter was still busy almost dry humping the girl he was mauling earlier and I internally sigh in relief that he can't ruin this for me if I don't ruin it for myself. Dean's gaze follows my gaze to Hunter and lifts a perfect eyebrow "Jealous?" he asks. No of course not "I'd rather gouge my eyes out with a spoon and eat them" I reply fiercely. Wow, interesting visual to give to your crush. So cute. Someone please shoot me. Just then, someone calls his name and he sends an apologetic glance my way."I've got to go, see you later, seatmate" he says as he saunters away. A wave of excitement crashes over me with the reminder of spending 3 whole hours seating beside Dean. I know I'm acting pathetic but I can't help it. I continue my search for my friends but when I couldn't locate them, I send a text to both of them informing
Daisy's POVI unlock my phone and my jaws drops at the picture staring me back in the face. It's a picture of me asleep, head resting cozily on Hunter's shoulder, mouth wide open (probably from the surprise of seeing a deer and a lion in bikinis), and drool dripping down the corner of my mouth. The picture was tagged: A Truly Glorious Moment. Two other texts come in and I open them, one is from Chloe and the other from Bloom.Chloe: it was sent to the whole school seven minutes ago by Hunter..........what is going on over there? LolBloom: oh my gosh, that picture is horrible..........you good?Am I okay?If blind rage can be considered okay, then yes I guess I'm perfectly fine. I turn to Hunter to give him a piece of my mind, when I decide against it. We are going to share the same tent right? Karma is a bitch and revenge is its sister. Just you wait, jerk. I start mentally cooking up my revenge plan when I notice that we are no longer in the air. I gather my purse and make my way
Daisy's POVWe all stood up and ran to the direction which it came from, some students were already there. I look to the side and see Taylor crying and Tiffany consoling her. I start to wonder what happened but didn't have to wonder for long before some of her other friends ask her what was wrong. She starts sobbing louder "It was a snake, it crawled right over my foot into that tiny bush, I hate this place". When she notices Hunter, she starts to sob louder than before and moves towards Hunter who was standing beside me. "Baby, you will protect me right" she says while trying to snuggle into Hunter. An annoyed look crosses Hunter's face and he rolls his eyes at her dramatics. "You wouldn't let anything happen to me, my hero". I bite my tongue to keep from bursting into laughter. "What happened here?" Mr. Fiddles asks as he approaches us with another teacher, Miss Rose. Miss Rose is the nicest teacher I've ever known. "A snake crawled over Taylor's leg, do you hear that, a snake!

Chapter 7Hunter's POV Daisy jerks and her eyes widen in shock while Dean smirks and turns to Daisy who was as still as a statue. His eyes twinkle with amusement and maybe a hint of interest. It better not be!I don't even know why I'm so agitated about this. It's just plain ol' annoying, infuriating, ego assassin, beautiful, smart, sexy.........Daisy. Here I go again.I might not like daisy but I know I'm uncomfortable with this dare so it isn't gonna happen. I'll make sure of it.Meanwhile, Dean cups Daisy's face and smiles at her but she doesn't smile back since she was still frozen. I try to catch Mark's eyes and when he finally looks at me, I mouth "change the dare, you owe me" to him. He really does owe me; I saved his ass last week. If Mark was surprised by my request, he didn't show it. He quickly remedies the situation. "Dean wait, I have an even better dare for you" He says stopping Dean whose face was about 3 inches apart from Daisy's. Daisy face turns into one of
Daisy's POVI exit the trailer and start to walk in the direction of the tent when I spot Chloe and Bloom watching something on their phone and giggling afar off and I turn to move in their direction instead."Hey, what are you cork screws up to?" I say hugging them both. They start to giggle again and my curiosity starts to pique. "It's" giggle "just so" laughs "funny" Chloe manages to cackle out between her laughs. "What's funny?" I say giggling even though I don't know what they were laughing about but Chloe's laugh was just so infectious."This" Bloom answers shoving the phone they were staring at earlier in my face.I notice a paused video and I restart it. It was a video starring Mr. Fiddles when he gathered the students in the cleared space to give them their assignment for the camp. Clearly, I overslept.Mr. Fiddles back was facing the tree that his boxer was hung but he was completely unaware of it. "Your project assignment is to find a medicinal plant, study it, recognize
Hunter's POVI watch Daisy as she angrily marches away and I can't stop my eyes from watching her as she sashays. I'm being a pervert, I know. After I lose sight of her, I put on my wet shirt and make my way to the tent to change my clothes. At the entrance, I hear someone talking in a panicked voice and a whimper in the tent. What the hell!Did Daisy bring a guy in our tent?I can't stop the rage and disappointment I feel at that thought. That guy isn't going to walk out of there in one piece if I have anything to say about it.I enter the tent abruptly to find Daisy spreading a huge blanket over my bed. When she finally notices my entrance, she suddenly sits on the space that she spread the blanket on."Hey, Hunter" She greets me cheerily, too cheerily. Something's up.I walk closer to my bed expecting her to get up but she grabs the edge of the bed firmly with both hands."What are you doing on my bed?" I ask her."Oh me.........nothing, absolutely nothing, why would I ever want t
Daisy's POVI enter the tent and exhale deeply.Hunter and I have been at each other's throat for almost 3 years now, so why the sudden attraction? If he had kissed me, what would I have done? In that moment, I probably might have kissed him back.I start a mantra in my head to put everything back in place. You have a crush on Dean and no one else, Hunter is just a stupid jerkYou have a crush on Dean and no one else, Hunter is just a stupid jerkYou have a crush on Dean and no one else, Hunter is just a handsome and considerate...................UghhI hear growling coming from my side of the tent and I turn to see the dog munching on something green. I ignore it and proceed to change my clothes.I prepare to move out of the tent when I realize I had forgotten my bracelet. It was my mother's gift for my fourteenth birthday just before she was murdered.I blink back tears and try my best to forget the horrible incident that led to my mother being killed and my phobia of darkness."Hu
