Chapter 16

Leigh’s Pov

The weekend sped by. And before l knew it. It was already the day Felix and l would be moving into our new house.

I looked at my apartment one last time. Before l picked up the last of my packed stuff. I was unhappy to move but l sure wasn’t going to miss this place.

It had been a temporary and cheap solution after Dylan had kicked me out of his apartment. Hence the living conditions had been unsafe and unpleasant. I had to barricade the door with a chair every night because the lock was broken.

Even though the whole engagement situation was unpleasant. I was glad l at least got something good out if it. Now l was going to be living in a large and possibly safer house than l could ever afford. Even if it was with a man l barely knew anything about.

“Goodbye sweetie, come visit me soon”, Mr Fagger, the middle aged man that owned the building said with a disgusting wink. His tobacco stained teeth showing as his lips curled up into a sinister smile.
