“Will you really go to the boy’s dormitory?” Marianne asked after they got to their dorm.

Julianne turned to her and said, “I have to.”

Marianne stood there looking at her and then asked, “Do you want me to come with you?”

“I was hoping you would ask me that,” Julianne replied with a smile.

Although Marianne looks uncertain, she still agreed to it. Before she would go to her room, she asked, “Have you heard from Velvet?”

Velvet…Julianne thought. How could she forget about her?

“No, I have not,” she answered.

Marianne gave a nod and headed to her room while Julianne walked into hers and shut the door. She walked to her cupboard and picked out a hoodie with a jean trouser before laying them on the bed. She let her body collapse on the other side of the bed and she stared up at the ceiling. As she laid there in silence, her thoughts were soon consumed by the boy she saw at the bleachers earlier—Lucien.
