Lost Family

The trembling child crouched in the drawer; through the opening, he saw everything that was happening outside. The living room was dimly lit. A masked man with cruel eyes like a demon kept frantically stabbing his parents with a knife. A dead fishy scent wafted through the air. The blood flowed more and more; they dyed mom's white lace dress and dad's shirt red and spilled on the floor. That blinding red didn't stop spreading, even almost reaching in front of the cupboard where the child was hiding.

The last "bang" sound was heard. The man pulled out his knife, still stained with fresh blood, and looked around the room as if searching for prey. The child shivered even more, cold sweat drenching her long, pretty hair. He knew who he was looking for.

The man started to move. Every step he took on the ground was like the sound of a devil's bell. The child shrank back, clutching his face close to his knees, not daring to look any further. She was afraid of being found, she was afraid of pain. She did not want to be stabbed by those terrible knives. Someone, please save her... Huh, mommy, daddy...

"Child, have you seen the face of the man who killed your parents?"

"How did it happen? Tell me!"

Baby...

Shelly didn't seem to have heard the police's quick questions, just stared at her bloody hand. Why didn't the parents wake up? Why, obviously, the baby shook so hard?

Fiona Forge looked at Shelly's silent appearance and was extremely annoyed. Why would she be the aunt of this annoying child? Her parents were killed looking for someone who couldn't find her. She suddenly called her, causing her to lose sleep and be scared for a while. Recalling the scene she'd seen in the living room, Fiona wanted to vomit again, her face pale and bloodless. And now this stubborn kid won't even talk. When will she be able to return to rest?

"Shelly, hurry up and answer them!"

Mrs. Fiona shouted. Shelly still kept her original appearance. Her eyes were blank and unfocused. Simon Armas looked at his wife's fierce expression, then at the people around him who were talking. re-run advises:

"You take it easy, she's still scared."

Fiona snorted coldly and then stepped aside, not wanting to see this cowardly husband's face ever again. Why are two brothers born from the same mother but each person is so different? Howard Armas is both handsome and general manager of the top ten construction company in the country, and her husband is her younger brother, who is just an ordinary office worker with a pitiful salary. Fiona had repeatedly told Simon to quit his job, then asked his brother to find some position in Emerald, but the stupid husband refused. What is self-esteem without construction industry expertise, what is stupidity?

Simon shook his head at his wife's attitude and gently stroked Shelly's hair. She's so pitiful. What kind of evil bastard did this terrible thing? He was also heartbroken. His brother's sudden death had made him very shocked. Only he understood how much Howard loved his brother. His parents died early and if not for Howard's protective care, he would not be where he is today. Fiona never knew that with Simon's low level, it was also extremely difficult to get an office job like now, all thanks to Howard's help. Not only work, but also money to buy a house, buy a car, get married, etc. There is a large amount of money given by his brother. The more Simon thought, the more he wanted to cry.

"Shelly, don't grieve anymore. After this, your aunt and uncle will take care of you. We will be a family. "

Before Shelly could answer, Fiona jumped. The snail can't carry it. The snail wants to carry another debt. This damn husband!

Simon Armas, do you have anything to say? Raise it. Where is the money to feed it!? Do you have brains? "

The police and the surrounding residents frowned upon hearing Fiona say that. This child is really poor; his parents were murdered and his aunt chased him away.

"That woman is too petty, even if she doesn't want to raise her niece."

"What is petty?" It must be said that it is evil. "

"Aizz, what kind of person..." When Fiona

heard those whispers, her face was as black as the bottom of a pot. She was about to drag Simon away when a thought suddenly crossed her mind. Wait, isn't Howard Armas and his wife all dead? Shelly's mother is an orphan, and of course, there is no one in Shelly's grandmother's house. In other words, she and Simon were her only relatives. If she raised this girl, it would mean that the immense fortune of the Armas family and the Emerald Company would all belong to her. Fiona's eyes sparkled as if she saw a rich future ahead. She immediately changed her attitude and said softly to Shelly:

"Shelly, you were joking earlier. "Auntie and Uncle will definitely raise you and love you very much."

Seeing his wife become so strange, Simon was amazed. Could her kindness suddenly arise?

"Wife, I..."

Fiona quickly grasped his arm, grinning like a crossbow flower, whispering softly:

"My dear, we are going to be rich, rich, and rich!"

Since the night of that horrific murder, Shelly has lived with the Simons for three weeks. For the first few days, she did not move a grain of rice or talk; she just huddled in her own room, refused to sleep, only opened her empty eyes and looked at the opposite wall. Simon watched his nephew get thinner and thinner. It was very heartbreaking, but no matter how he comforted and advised him, she still didn't seem to hear. When Simon looked for his wife to help, Fiona was studying inheritance law with the aim of swallowing the huge fortune left by Shelly's parents, leaving no time to worry about other things. She even said irresponsibly, "He must be crazy. Just take him to a mental hospital. Save money." Simon was very displeased by Fiona's irresponsibility. She was just about to open her mouth to teach, but she stopped first, blatantly listing a bunch of his mistakes and shortcomings, then lamented herself for living because of that. How miserable. Each time, Simon faltered and gave in. Previously, Fiona was the favorite daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Forge. From childhood to adulthood, they lived comfortably and happily. After marrying him, they had to start doing housework. Simon sighed and walked away, blaming himself for being ineffective.

After the unsuccessful day of talking with Fiona, Simon continued to try to help Shelly return to normal. He asked for the advice of a psychologist, often sat and talked with the girl for hours, and always behaved with tenderness and care. Of course, God never disappoints, and so far, Shelly has agreed to talk and eat, and she is also getting closer to this uncle. Only Fiona is always cold to Shelly. Every time she encounters obstacles in the process of transferring property, she scolds and scolds her. However, Fiona had no intention of sending Shelly away. She thought that she had inherited the property of Mr. and Mrs. Howard, so it was only natural that she had to take care of their children. But one day, Fiona's opinion suddenly changed.

It all started on the day Fiona, as Shelly's guardian, successfully owned all of Howard Armas's assets, conveniently becoming the largest shareholder of the Emerald company. She was so excited that she hurriedly called a meeting of friends to show off. The people who once mocked and criticized poor Fiona are now extremely jealous of her. Needless to say, Fiona was gloating and laughing the whole time. Someone who was not satisfied with her obnoxious appearance suddenly spoke up:

"Fiona, are you raising that child?" His parents died but only he lived. Maybe there was a bad fate. "

The people around us also contributed to the discussion. Some people say that it's fate to engrave their parents, others say that comets bring bad luck... Fiona is shocked to hear that. If that's true, is it possible that she and her husband will be killed by Shelly? Fiona's heart trembled again at the sight of her parents smeared in a pool of blood. No, I can't keep it any longer!

"So what do you guys say I should do? I don't know where to send her." Fiona asked, bewildered.

The atmosphere was light and quiet. A woman in a blue dress suddenly shouted:

"Ah, or you should take him to the orphanage! I know a 'good' place.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After asking for the address of the orphanage, Fiona immediately drove home. She glanced at her watch and realized it was only four o'clock in the afternoon, and it wasn't time for Simon to get off work. During this time, it is best to get rid of that unlucky child. Fiona knew that her husband was a very soft-hearted person, and if he knew about this, he would definitely disagree. For the sake of preserving life and wealth, there is no other way but to get rid of this grandchild.

When Fiona returned, Shelly was stooping to clean the living room. Who wouldn't like a six-year-old child who understood something like this, but that didn't include Fiona, who was superstitious, afraid of death, and greedy? She ignored Shelly's polite bow and hurried upstairs, opened the closet, grabbed her clothes and personal items, and put them all in a basket. Finished, Fiona pulled Shelly straight to the car. The force was so strong that it caused a bruise on her wrist. Shelly is frightened by her aunt's actions. Where do you want to take her? Like a premonition that she was about to be abandoned, Shelly burst into tears, trying to break free from Fiona's bondage. The strength of a child could not be compared to that of an adult, and she was quickly thrown into the back seat by her grandmother. Shelly suppressed the pain of the impact, constantly banging on the car door, tears moistening her small face.

"Miss, open the door!" I don't want to go! I don't want to go!

Fiona did not listen to her pleas and immediately got into the driver's seat, locked all the doors and shouted:

"Shut up! If you scream again, I will beat you to death! If you don't get rid of them soon, you and I, like your parents, will all be killed sooner or later. "

Shelly's eyes widened as if she couldn't believe what Fiona said. Parents : Was it because... the baby died?

Fiona saw her expression in the rearview mirror, did not mean to deny it, even harshly emphasized this misconception:

"Right! Your parents were killed by you! You are a comet, a temperate star! "

After hearing what her aunt said, Shelly didn't move the whole way. Her eyes were blank and lifeless as ever.

"Your parents were killed by you..."

"You are a comet!"

Those words kept spinning in her head, gradually blackening the innocent soul of a child. An unknown guilt grew more and more inside Shelly, making her tremble with fear. Fiona is very pleased with Shelly's silence. Heaven knows what she hates most: children, unbearable trouble.

After two hours, Fiona finally got Shelly to the orphanage her friend recommended. Heart Orphanage is located on an unnamed hill on the outskirts of the city, surrounded by mountains and forests, almost isolated from the outside. It was difficult for Fiona to drive because it was getting dark, and many times she almost lost her way, making her angry. As soon as Fiona got there, Fiona pulled the mentally unstable Shelly out of the car and went to knock on the door.
