The energy from the battle between Elara and Simon grew so intense that the sky above Silverthorne turned a dusky red.
The thunderstorm began to flash uncontrollably, and every lightning bolt that hit the ground made the ruins of the city tremble, as if the old city was also feeling the tension that was overflowing between the two. The wind picked up speed and slowly became a tornado ready to sweep away anything in its path. Grace could only stare in dismay, realising that this clash was too strong even for her. "Elara!" shouted Grace, trying to reach her niece who was at the centre of the energy vortex. "You must retreat! This city will be destroyed if you keep fighting!" However, Elara no longer heard anything. Her focus was completely centred on Simon, who was now smiling slyly despite the growing number of wounds on his body. Behind his cold face, Elara could feel Simon's fear, a fear that was hidden behind every word he said. They both knew this was a decisive battle. "Are you ready for the end, little Blaise?" Simon raised both hands, gathering the black energy that swirled more and more swiftly around him. "I assure you that you will die very quickly and painlessly, unlike the way your mother met her death." Elara just stared at him unflinchingly. "There will be no end as you imagine, Simon. You will fall-and I will give it all back." Simon laughed mockingly at the sentence after sentence that escaped from Elara's small lips who believed that he would not lose to Simon this quickly. The two of them exchanged spells, the power they unleashed increasing by the second. With the final attack, Elara and Simon unleashed their ultimate power in a wave of energy so powerful that it was as if time itself stopped. Elara's blue light collided with Simon's darkness, creating a powerful explosion that shook Silverthorne to its foundations.., Stone walls cracked, trees fell, and buildings that had stood for thousands of years collapsed one by one. "Elara! No!" Grace leapt towards Elara to pull her out of the energy vortex, but the impact of the force was too great. The three of them-Elara, Grace, and Simon-flung out of the old city, past the protective barrier that had been keeping Silverthorne from the outside world. Grace held her niece's hand tightly so that Elara would not be separated from her. When Elara's body hit the hard ground, everything became a blur. The sounds around her vanished, as if drowned in a thick fog that clouded her memory. The pain was like a wave that tore through her mind, bringing the most important parts of her slowly disappearing. The image of Marie's face, her mother's smile, the face of Grace the aunt who always accompanied her after her mother died, even the name and visual of the old town of Silverthorne slowly disappeared from Elara's memory, erased along with her fading consciousness. Time passed. In a village far away from Silverthorne, a woman stared at a young girl lying weakly on a simple wooden bed. The child was found by the riverbank with a body full of wounds and a face that seemed to recognise no one, not even herself. The woman, Grace Rowan, cared for Elara lovingly, fortunately the woman who had always accompanied Elara did not suffer from amnesia when she bounced from Silverthorne. "Raven, child," called Grace, who had decided to change their identities one day, as the girl stared out the out the window with a blank stare. "Do you remember where you came from?" Elara, who had now changed her name to Raven, shook her head slowly. "I... I don't even remember my name. Much more than that." Her face looked blank, like she was keeping a secret locked deep inside. However, even though she forgot everything, every night, strange dreams always came to haunt her. In her dream, there were flashes of blue light, the ruins of a city that felt familiar, and voices calling her name. There were vague figures, including a man with cold eyes that radiated hatred. Every time she woke up from the dream, her heart pounded, but nothing was clear. Years later, in the same place but very different. A man in a formal suit was ringing a bell on the front lawn of York University's dormitory. His eyes stared intently as a black luxury car entered the courtyard and stopped near the entrance of the building. Two women got out of the car. A middle-aged woman walked to the back of the car and opened the boot. "All grades must be A's, right, Grace? I promise you," said a young girl as she followed her to the trunk. "Tsk, there's no need for that, darling. I don't really care about grades," Grace replied with a smile. "Ah, yeah, right. At least "Don't forget to socialise", right?" continued the girl with a wry smile on her lips. "Making friends is an important thing in life, dear Raven even though it's a difficult thing because we always have to move around. Now try to socialise if you get the chance." Raven exhaled her breath. The look on her face showed that she did not like hearing the request of the woman in front of her. Grace stared intently at Raven's beautiful bead. Her feelings were mixed. After a few moments of silence, Grace responded to Raven's behaviour. "Try it, sweetheart because I won't be here forever." Not wanting to disappoint the woman in front of her, Raven chose to divert the conversation, "Sorry, I have to go now." "Wisdom comes in many forms, not just from studying. You know that, right?" Raven who already didn't want to listen any further about having to socialise again changed the topic by saying that she really had to leave right now. "Wait a minute." Grace took something out of her jacket pocket and handed it to Raven, "This." "Grace is this...?" asked Raven dangling. Its body was covered in lifeless black eyes, and from its back extended like wings of sharp mist.At the centre of its indistinct face, there were only two pale lights... looking directly at him."The Night Watcher..." she whispered in horror. The stone door rumbled, opening only slightly. Valtorius shouted, "Come in, now!"Raven dashed forward, but... just as she was about to reach the gate, a shadowy claw swooped down from behind-throwing them both against the wall with tremendous force."ARGH!" Valtorius was blown away, his body hitting the stone hard.Raven fell, her chest tight, her pendant slipping off and sliding to the floor. The gate... closed again, slowly but surely. The spell was broken.Valtorius lifted his face, blood pouring from his temples. "No... not now..."The voice came again. But this time it wasn't a whisper."You cannot run from me, Elara. I have waited too long for you."The Night Watcher stepped forward, his shadow swallowing the light, muting the air, even t
The Night Watcher had remembered his name."He smells the way. He will hunt them down between the passages of time and space. There is no place to hide. There is no safe place." The voice did not come from the mouth, but echoed in the heads of all who were there. The black-robed figure spread his arms. "Find him. Smell the traces of his blood. And bring her home-either alive... or fully exposed."The Night Watcher climbed out completely. His body was tall, yet not fixed in shape. He merged with the shadows, and as he stepped, the floor beneath him turned frozen, cracked, and dead.Without the sound of a step, without a gesture, the creature disappeared-merging with the darkness beyond the world, moving swiftly like a nightmare that slips between the beats of time. And the last whisper before it vanished was a bone-chilling sound"I see you, Elara... I see you..."Their footsteps echoed down the damp, old stone hallway, illuminated only by the faint glow of the Raven pendant that now h
"We remember you."Raven shivered. She glanced at Valtorius, but the professor remained silent, focused on guiding their steps. But Raven knew she heard it, too.Suddenly, around the corner of the hallway, there was a low growl. Valtorius halted his steps, his hand raised, ready to cast magic. From behind a thin mist, a creature emerged-its height almost touching the ceiling, its body shrouded in a pitch-black mist that flowed like smoke. Its eyes glowed blood red."Guardian of the Eastern Gate," Valtorius hissed. "We must pass through. But not with brute force."The creature stepped forward, and its heavy voice echoed"Give me a name. A true name. Or stay here... forever."Raven stared at Valtorius, terrified. "What does that mean? A true name?"Valtorius looked at her deeply. "Your name, Raven.
The black-robed figure laughed softly. "Of course you know me. I am the part of life that you forgot. I am the truth they tried to hide from you."Suddenly, the room shook violently again. From outside, there was a loud bang followed by a heartbreaking scream that echoed throughout the building. Something-or someone-was charging in, bringing even greater horror than before. The shattered door was now wide open, revealing a hallway filled with a dark mist that crawled across the floor like a living creature. In that mist, shadows flashed rapidly, creating whispers that sliced through the air.Valtorius quickly grasped Raven's wrist. "We need to get out of here. Right now."But before they could move, the black-robed figure raised one hand, creating a swirl of shadows that shot towards them. Valtorius swiftly formed an energy shield, blocking the attack before it could touch them."You think you can protect her forever, Professor?" the figure's voice sounded even colder. "Elara is one o
"They're already here..." muttered Valtorius in a deep voice that was almost a whisper, but still clearly audible amidst the chaos.A loud knock echoed from the room's door, not just any knock - more like a heavy blow that nearly cracked the wood. And the voice returned, calling out in a hoarse, threatening tone."Elara... Elara Blaise... You can't hide forever..."Raven's blood rushed. That voice... too real, too close. She could feel the coldness of every syllable summoned by the figure out there. Not only that-there was something inside her that trembled violently, responding to the call in a way she could not understand.Professor Valtorius stepped forward, raising his hand. Ancient symbols glowed in the air, forming a layer of protection around them. "Listen to me, Raven," he said firmly. "You must endure. Don't let them get inside your mind."But that's easier said than done. The door rumbled again. This time, the sound of wood cracking could be heard so clearly. A strange light
Raven's grip on her pendant tightened. She didn't. She didn't know them. She didn't want to go with them. But before Raven could say anything- DUARRR!!!A powerful explosion shook the university. The sound of shattering glass and loud screams mixed together. From outside, a blood-red flash of light split the night sky. That sound... that scream... Raven felt her body tremble. Something terrible was happening outside. Something related to her. Meanwhile, the first black-robed creature smiled faintly. "Look, Elara... it all started again."And in an instant, darkness engulfed the room.Darkness devoured the room in an instant. Raven could not see anything. Her breathing was ragged, her palms cold and clammy with sweat. Her body trembled not only from fear, but also from the strange feeling that was slowly running through her.A subtle whisper swirled in her head, like a voice coming from a distance. "Elara... the time has come...""Don't listen to them!" P
