Kiara's POV By the time we got back to the palace, the fire in my chest had dulled to a simmering ache. My head on the other hand wasn't left out. Kiara's POV I wasn’t sure how long I'd had been sitting here, but the slight ache in my spine was all the indication I needed to know that I'd been in here for a while. Kiara's POV The click of the cell door echoed like a death sentence, and I hated how it sent shivers of fear racing down my spine. It didn't just spare my spine alone, instead, the said fear reached deep inside my bones, almost as if it's sole intent was to tender me cripple. I stood frozen, back pressed to the cold stone wall, heart hammering in my chest as the sound of retreating boots faded down the corridor. The torch outside flickered once, then twice, casting trembling shadows across the iron bars. I didn’t know where they had brought me. As far as I knew, this was different from the cell they'd placed me when I was corrupted with the shadow, and this wasn't where I was locked up with the other rogues, so where the hell was I? Even the walls felt different, and I couldn't help but feel like I was being thrust into a part of the palace that I didn't know existed until now. Wherever and whatever it was, it didn't negate the fact that I didn't feel the least bit comfy in here
