Chapter 10

Ashley’s POV,

It was a sunny morning. The rosy hues of the sun were seeping through the window.

I had always hated mornings but today, I was terrified of it. I wondered what will become of me.

"What exactly is my fate?" I questioned myself and tried to get through to Skylar, but she was mute.

“Skylar?” I mumbled softly several times but she zoned me out and I needed no one to tell me she was angry.

Sighing sadly, I looked over at Rossie who was sleeping awkwardly beside me.

She was sitting on a pew, resting her head on my bed while her hair sprawled on her face. She was snoring heavily like the night was just starting.

A chuckle broke out of my lips as I adjusted her properly. I felt bad for depriving her of her sleep last night. I had cried like a suckling toddler while she stuck by my side.

For the next few moments, I got busy checking out my bruises. Different weird thoughts hit me as I trailed my fingers over the sores.
