Ashley's POV

Watching Maya leave made me feel at ease. Although I knew that it wasn't the end it was good to know that she wasn't in the same chamber with me.

I marched into my room and locked myself in, I felt bored, I wasn't used to such idleness.

I did not know why I dropped out of the game easily. And here I am like a mouse in hiding. Well, I was boxed into a corner by the Princes. It was obvious that both of them wanted me to leave the Sect.

I decided to engage my mind. I had thought I would attend the next meeting and made my mind known to Asher. I never knew the two traitors were deciding to pull me out of the picture.

I knew this sounded selfish but I have been sentimental since I heard about Regan's story. I just wish Asher could let Regan have the throne. To me, Regan seemed worthy.
