CHAPTER 14

Ria struggled to get out of the water. One minute ago, she was enjoying the cool breeze and calm effect the water brought to her and the next minute, she was suddenly pushed into the pool.

The water rushed into her mouth as she opened it to scream. Pressing her hands to hold her nose, Ria was loosing her breath.

Maybe this was going to be her end. Maybe it was her punishment for leaving Oklahoma for New York.

Is that how her life was going to end? Her eyes were beginning to close. She was losing against the water and there was no one around to save her.

Damon excused himself from the group he was speaking to. He suddenly felt uneasy and needed some fresh air.

Finding his way outside the hall, his phone rang and since the music and noise from inside were still loud enough to distract him, he moved towards the pool so he could get the quietness he needed.

Reaching the pool, Damon reached his phone to pick the call but suddenly, he noticed the movement in the pool.
