A REAL APPEARANCE

A moment later, the door creaked open and Sophia whipped her head around, breath catching. Alexander stood at the doorway with no shirt, only draped in a tiny towel. He propped himself against the frame with his arms crossed over his chest, narrow eyes scanning the halls over her with a knowing smirk.

“I see you’re settling’ in,” he said, his eyes darting toward the bundle of cash in her hands.

Sophia went rigid, shoving the money quickly back in her bag

“I was just… organizing,” she said, feeling strangely caught, as though she had been doing something forbidden.

Alexander suddenly noticed she was uncomfortable and surprised at his appearance. “I'm about to have my shower but I decided to check up on you. I don't usually appear like this.”

Alexander stepped inside, closing the door behind him. His presence filled the room instantly, the air shifting with the sheer weight of his dominance. He moved leisurely, eyes never leaving her. “Tell me, Sophia… now that you’ve

The lawyer's visit.Alexander seems to be accomplishing his ambitious desires of putting Sophia under his control. The empire he had built, the power he wielded—it was all at his fingertips. Yet, there was one more piece he needed to secure his highest goal. The company. Her company. He sat behind his mahogany desk, the polished surface gleaming under the ambient light. His fingers tapping a steady rhythm, a silent countdown to what was about to unfold. He heard a soft knock on the door which snapped his attention from his thoughts to the door. “Sir, Mr. Hastings is here,” his assistant announced.Alexander’s gaze sharpen, and expectant. “Send him in.”The moment the door opened, Mr. Hastings stepped inside, his polished shoes barely making a sound against the plush floor. Alexander’s office staff moved like a well-trained orchestra, anticipating his every need—offering a warm welcome, a firm handshake, and a glass of whiskey. The finest, of course.Alexander's face was oozing with un

Sophia's heels clicked softly against the polished marble floor as she stepped through the grand entrance of Alexander’s mansion. The sheer size of the place was overwhelming, but it was the interior that left her speechless. The sprawling staircase with its wrought-iron railings seemed to spiral toward infinity, the crystal chandelier overhead sparkled like a cascade of diamonds, and the walls were adorned with priceless art she couldn’t begin to name. The air smelled faintly of fresh flowers and expensive wood polish. It was a world she had only seen in movies—unreal, unattainable, and now, oddly, hers. Her fingers tightened around the strap of her bag as she took hesitant steps further inside, her wide eyes darted to the luxurious furniture and beautiful interior. She could hear the faint hum of a distance and the soft padding of footsteps approaching.“Miss Sophia!” A cheerful voice broke her thoughts. A woman in a maid uniform appeared, her face bright and welcoming. “Welcome t

The Accepted Offer Alexander was walking slowly to his office as the snail. He was so relaxed and calm this particular morning. He didn't quite notice a particular figure sitting in the visitor chair as he drifted his gaze to his shelves. But as he turned toward his desk, he froze mid-step.Sophia sat stiffly in one of the plush armchairs opposite his desk, her expression carefully composed but betraying hints of discomfort. Her fingers were interlocked in her lap, and her gaze darted briefly toward him before settling somewhere over his shoulder.Alexander shut the door behind him, the click echoing in the room. “Sophia?” His brows furrowed in real surprise. “To what do I owe this……unexpected visit?”He walked toward his desk, setting his briefcase down first before sinking into his chair.Sophia breathed down, her expression was unreadable. She held her posture still, lips pressed into thin lines. He leaned forward slightly, his eyes narrowing. “Let me guess. You've come to repeat

He lifted up his eyes, resting it to the door and uttered, “Come in,” he said, his voice cool.Mark entered, his usual composed demeanour masking his nervousness. He had already perceived the mood in the tone of his Boss earlier, but he knew better than to talk about it.“Sir,” Mark began, closing the door behind him, “I just want to remind you about the picnic today. It is all set as you requested.”Alexander's eyes were fixed on the screen of his phone,on the desk.“We will get to that,” he said curtly. “Firstly, I need to know— Or do you know who is sending me those messages?”Mark frowned, caught with surprise and uncertainty.Alexander picked up the phone and tossed it onto the desk. “I've been receiving text messages, the same irritating sentences, and a message of rejection. Someone thinks they can play games with me.”Mark moved toward the desk, looked into the phone screen. He darted his gaze to his Boss, waiting before speaking. “Could it be……Sophia?”Alexander scoffed,a smirk

THE WEDDING ANNOUNCEMENT SCANDAL.He stood with his back to the room, one hand on the pocket, the other touching the frame of the window. He was staring at the busy road and its sprawling city skyline. His jaw tightens as he re-echoes the rejection message in his mind he has received earlier.“The offer was not accepted, it was a mistake.”The words echoed like a taunt, each one a disrespect to his power. Alexander didn’t do rejection—not in business, not in life, and certainly not in matters of control of everything.“She thinks she can refuse me?” He muttered to himself, his voice low but very sharp and dominating. His bold and brutal eyes, showing in the reflection of the glass, clouded with determination.Moments later, the office door to his office creaked open, interrupting his thoughts. Alexander barked, without turning to the person, “What is it?” “It's done,” a voice replied, clipped and professional but sound with tension.Alexander turned, his quick and smart gaze landing on
