BRIAN

I tried focusing all day,but I couldn't concentrate, my mind was all on Anne. She looked so stunning,I'd always promised myself that I wouldn't fall for any woman,but she makes me feel like breaking my promise. It was like love at first sight,

"Brian! What the hell? What are you thinking of?" Kevin asked looking pissed." I've been calling you for like ages now,"I rolled my eyes and sighed.

"I met this girl..."I just knew he'd interrupt

"You met a girl? What does she look like?" his anger was long gone.

"If you hadn't interrupted, I'd I've told you what she looked like,"I stated smiling sheepishly.

"Wow, she must be really hot and have a nice shape since she has you blushing like this,"Kevin said bumping me in the shoulder lightly.

"Sooo... What about miss Colton?"I winked at him, he smiled and said.

"We are having a date this evening."

"I thought your mum was bringing Cole today,"

"Shit,yes she is. And I was supposed to take him and the girls to the park,"he started pacing.

"Don't worry, she can take him over to my house. I'll talk to Anne about it, she may be able to take them to the park,"atleast that way I would hear her voice without it being creepy. I dialed her number and waited till she picked.

"Hello, good morning Mr Kendall,"she said, I could hear my girls giggling at the background.

"Hi. Please call me Brian,"was my reply.

"Ok Brian." The way she said my name made something in me shake a little bit.

"I dunno if you would mind me adding another boy to the kids you're babysitting. My best friend's son was supposed to come over to play with the girls and go to the park,I don't mind if you can't take them to the park, but please can you babysit him? I'd pay extra....."

"It's fine Mr.. I mean Brian, I can certainly do that. I love the girls, I'll surely love your best friends son also, and I can take them to the park." Thank God she stopped me,I had already started blabbing. Did she just say she loved my kids?

"Ooh, thank you very much. I'd call you later if I'm going to be late." I hung up after hearing her reply."She said its fine."

"Thank God," he sighed in relief.

"You really like this girl don't you?"

"Pfft. Not all that much." Yup, he really liked her.

"So, where are you taking her?" His face looked interested at that one.

ANNE

I was just finishing up Ava's braids when the doorbell rang, it was probably Brian's best friends son. I got to the door, checked through the peep hole and saw a slightly old woman, her eyes were wandering about.

"Good afternoon ma'am," I saw a very stunning looking young boy of about 5 years.

"Hi," the lady smiled sweetly at me."You must be Anne the sitter?"

"Yes ma'am,"I ushered her into the house.

"Don't keep calling me ma'am, it makes me feel very old. Just call me Kate,"she said as she sat down.The boy had already disappeared.

"Where are the girls, and hope they aren't much trouble?"

"They are in their rooms," Just then, they both came running and screaming with the boy at their back. "They aren't much trouble." Kate just smiled as they both jumped on her.

"Anne made us braids, " Alexis said showing her hair to Kate, they both had curly brown hair.

"These are cool braids, "Kate said enthusiastically. "I'd like to have some of these one day. "

Few minutes later, Kate had gone and I was making sure the  seat belts of the kids were well fastened in my car, I didn't have the car seat, so I had to work with what I got. I drove to the nearest park in the area.

"Let's go play!" Cole said excitedly as he and the girls went to the swings. I sat on a bench closest to them, so I could watch them. Brian had told me he would come pick up the kids when he gets back from work, so I'd go home from here. I should probably call him...

BRIAN

I was already running late, it was 6pm and I still had a lot to do before I could leave for the day, if only I had an assistant, I was supposed to pick up the kids from the park, what do I do now. I quickly sent I message to Anne that I'd be late,

No problem we'll wait for you at home- Anne

Ava won't like this, she'd be angry at me. I was supposed to spend some time with them today at the park.

A lot of paper works after, I was finally ready to go, by then it was already 7:30pm. Time really flew by, I didn't even know I was staying this long. I started packing up, then went to the car park, got into my car and drove home, it was really late.

By the time I punched in the digits to open the gates, it was already 8:20pm. I parked the car in the garage, got out my keys and entered the house. Anne was on the couch, sleeping peacefully, the television was still on. I put it off and turned back to her, then her eyes fluttered open,

"Hi, you're back, "she said yawning a bit.

"Yh, I just got back. I hope the kids were not too much trouble? " I was seating across from her, she looked really tired

"They were no trouble at all. I should get going, its running really late, I put your food in the microwave, "she said.

"Why don't you stay over, its really late, and I won't have a good night rest if you go out by this time, maybe you should sleep over. I have a lot of spare rooms. "

"I wouldn't want to do that. "

"But you should, " I persuaded. I didn't want her to go home so late, who knew if she stayed far away.

"Ok, fine. But I have to tell someone before I can stay,"she picked up her phone which was beside her on the couch and was typing away on it. She was probably talking with her boyfriend or something. "Done, I'll stay. Please where would I be sleeping, I'm really tired. "

"Follow me, "she looked really tired. I led her upstairs to a room close to mine and the twins', then I went to my room closet and got a white shirt and blue sweatpants. "You'd feel more comfortable in these, "she took it and I saw a hint of red on her cheeks, I smiled and left the room after she muttered a 'thank you'. I went to check on the kids, the three of them we're sleeping soundly, Cole had a bed also in the room, because he spent most time in our house. I kissed Alexis and Cole on the head and straightened their blankets, then I went to Ava's bed and kissed her on her head. I eyes fluttered open and she frowned and said,

"Daddy, you came late again. You told me you'd play with us at the park. "

"Daddy's sorry baby, work was too much for only daddy. I'll try to make it up to you okay? "

"Ok daddy,good night daddy. "I kissed her head and straightened her blankets and she went back to sleep.

I went downstairs to check the food Anne prepared for me in the microwave, it was some saucy pork chop skillet, it looked really good and homemade, I warmed it a little, then sat at the dinning table then ate, Kevin was supposed to be back by now, I dunno what could be holding him up.

The food was really good, it reminded me of my mother's food. Just then, Kevin walked in smiling like a child with a new toy.

"Hey Brian, "he said sitting beside me, I nodded in response. "Did your mum come over? "

"No, why do you ask? Did she tell you she was coming? "I panicked, he laughed.

"Nah, you're eating good food, it doesn't look ordered, it looks homemade. "

"Ooh this, Anne made it. "

"Wow, she's wife material, "he bumped into me, I hit him upside his head. "What was that for? "

"For being stupid, "I told him dropping my plate in the sink. "How was your date? "

"It was amazing.... "He went on and on about the date, I feel like the bad boy was already falling...
