The Billionaire's Ex-wife Comeback

Freya's POV

«MOORE MANSION, Wednesday, 6 PM»

I stepped out of the cab staring at the mansion in front of me before sighing. I was supposed to be happy I was back but for odd reasons, I'm not feeling a bit relieved coming back here.

As I walked closer to the door, I could hear him talking to her. Their voice sounded so clear in my head and they were being very intimate with each other.

I ignored it opened the door and went inside, just as I was about to walk upstairs, his voice stopped me.

"You are back." I scoffed at the sentence but didn't respond to him as I made a move to go my way but he said yet another word which made me stop to look back at him.

"What did you say?" I asked, I wasn't much surprised but I was angry. Angry at myself for being so foolish to have fallen in love with a guy like him.

"I prepared the divorce paper already, just for you to sign then we can go tomorrow to get our divorce certificate."

I couldn't believe that word could ever come from him, yes I knew it was an arranged marriage but we had come to terms with it and we even decided to move on from the best.

For the 3 years we had been married, at first, he despised me because I took his lover's place. I had accepted the arranged marriage because I caught my boyfriend cheating on me with another girl.

But, he only accepted because he was threatened and he believed I was the cause of it all even losing his first love.

As time went by, we both agreed it was the date and now it has been a year and a half that we'll be uniting and doing everything couples do until a week ago when his first love returned.

"You dare ask me for a divorce?" I said it wasn't much of him to ask but when it comes to him, I'm always weak.

I knew at that time I was in love with him, stupid heart.

"The rightful owner is back Freya, don't make this difficult for any of us." That was all he said before advancing to go into the room.

"Henry." I couldn't stop myself anymore, I called out his name, my tears slowly streaming down my face while I stared at him in total anger.

But he didn't stop, he just went inside the room while I was left with her, Linda. She was staring at me as I wept. Not because I couldn't move on but because my heart had failed me and my soul failed me more.

I was pregnant. I knew I was pregnant by the time I arrived home and with the intention that when she was gone, I'd tell him but everything shattered and made me cried more.

"After all your efforts, he still chose me over you." She finally spoke out, her voice annoying me at each sentence.

The main reason why I could find myself in this situation was all because of her, if she hadn't left because she heard he was engaged then maybe there would have been a turning point.

At first, she was so angry, she told him he either chose his engagement or her but because of his grandfather, he ended up getting married to me.

That was the main cause of our fall out at the early beginning plus the fact that I was still not fully over my ex-boyfriend.

Henry didn't want to get over the fact I had used his grandfather to suppress him and force him to marry me but it wasn't true at all.

I pleaded to the grandfather to break the engagement but he was so adamant that I ended up annoying him and he turned it into a marriage instead.

"What do you mean?" I frowned, she came to my side carefully taking my hand, she was rubbing on it then dropped it.

"You were just a bargaining chip for him until he was able to change grandfather's mind, and now that he has done so, I can finally come back to him and you can get out of the picture." She smirked.

Her words pierced into my heart a thousand times. I didn't need her to tell me what he was thinking because I wanted to be the one to judge him myself.

Just then, Henry came back out holding a paper which I was sure was the divorce paper. What's more? His face was void of emotions.

"Henry. Wait please, if I've done something wrong then we can solve it without separating, we can come to terms together and I'm willing to apologize, please." I held his hand in tears, my hands were shaking, and the very terror I was avoiding had occurred.

He shook his hands from me, he frowned before speaking up, "This is Linda, I'm sure you'll have found out about her already so you know who she truly was to me before you came into the picture. She's carrying my son now. I'm not going to disgrace you so leave while I'm still nice." He said and turned back leaving without looking back at me.

Does he mean he has never felt a bit of love or emotion towards me during the three years we were together? Does he just see me as a stumbling stone to his former relationship?

I stumbled backward in shock unable to believe what I just heard. I could have easily accepted anything else but he said she's pregnant for him, she's carrying his son.

My tears dropped without any control as I cried out in agony, I knew already that I loved him but I kept it a secret to promote the peace we both had. I just wanted him around.

I never asked for anything more than his loving me back. I moved trying to go after him but was stopped by Linda again, I glared at her in pure hatred.

"Just sign the papers and stop making everything hard for us, he'll never love you and he told you that already." I so much wanted to slap her but I restrained myself from doing anything.

As I tried passing her by, she fell gently which made me more frustrated, "What do you think you are doing right now?" Seeing her fake tears and her faking being hurt made me despise her more.

Henry came out just at that moment, he rushed over to her and checked her so affectionately. I squeezed my hands tightly trying to stop myself from reacting.

"Why did you push her?" That was the first question he asked me, he didn't even attempt to know who, he just decided I was the one who pushed her.

"Why will I push her? I have no reason to do that. You know me too well, I've always been…"

"You have every reason to push me, I know I'm not as good enough as you because grandfather chose you first but knowing I'm pregnant with his son, you feel jealous."

"I didn't mean for him to divorce you, all I wanted was a chance to be with him also and…"

"ENOUGH!" I shout, my voice laced with anger. I took the papers from the table and signed them, my tears threatening to fall.

After I finished signing, I stared at him once more, my eyes visibly showing hatred, "I hate you." Those were my last words to him before I turned back leaving the mansion.

He doesn't deserve to be a father to my baby and I promised to give my child the best. He will regret it.
