Apartment

Chapter 36

“Ignore the… mess.” He says while he opens his apartment door.

I looked inside and it was indeed messy. I didn’t expect it to be that bad before I went in but it was even worse than I had imagined. There were wrappers and paper everywhere. Instant ramen. Suspicious small white ziplocks with white powder inside them.

Newspapers scattered. White plastic bags. Bottles.

“Is this.. sulphuric acid?” I picked up a huge white bottle on the floor near the entrance with a danger label on it describing the substance.

He snatches it from me and grumbles something as he puts it away in a cupboard in the kitchen.

My eyes widen slightly and I blink trying to take in my surroundings.

Who was I to judge though. If I didn’t have a roommate I’m sure my room would be just as messy. Okay maybe not just as messy but messy enough.
