Bruno stood frozen for half a breath longer than the rest of us.

I couldn’t blame him.

He had seen powerful Alphas before.

He had never seen Monarchs erase a firing line in under ten seconds.

He blinked once, jaw tightening, then rolled his shoulders back into command posture.

“Clear perimeter,” he barked into his comm. “Outer courtyard secure. Sweep for survivors. No one touches the ash.”

Good.

He was steady again.

We pushed through the Imperial Tower doors.

The smell hit first.

  • Bankrupting the Alpha: Crowned by the Dragon King   What Was Real?

Aella POVThe sanctuary felt colder after Chaos spoke. Not physically.Emotionally.Like the truth itself had changed the atmosphere around us.No one looked stable anymore. Not the Queens. Not Sol.Not Samantha. Not even Chaos himself.Because if Elias could manipulate memories—Then nothing was certain. Not grief. Not love. Not even truth.Marcus was the first one to finally break the silence. His laugh sounded hollow.Dangerously hollow.“So what now?” he asked quietly. No one answered.Marcus looked toward Chaos directly.“If Elias can manipulate minds…” His jaw tightened painfully. “…does that mean there is a chance my mother was never really his mate?”Queen Samantha inhaled sharply.Marcus kept going anyway.“Did he manipulate John too?”The sanctuary lights dimmed faintly.“Did he make him betray Sol?”Sol stiffened beside me immediately. The Bond twisted painfully between us.Because suddenly—That possibility existed too.Not certainty. But possibility.Marcus dragged both h

  • Bankrupting the Alpha: Crowned by the Dragon King   Questions

Aella POVThe sanctuary remained quiet after Sol’s words. Not peaceful quiet. The kind of silence that came after realizing your enemy might have been orchestrating your entire life from the shadows. The kind that left everyone staring at each other wondering what parts of their memories even belonged to them anymore.Marcus sat heavily against one of the sanctuary pillars now, elbows on his knees while Pamela remained close enough to stop him from attempting murder again.Hunter paced near the windows.Beatriz had finally resumed setting up the ultrasound equipment, though she looked seconds away from sedating all of us personally.Sol stayed beside me.Always beside me now.His hand rested protectively against my stomach while his sunlight flickered faintly beneath his skin, warm against the sanctuary’s glow. But my thoughts remained fixed on one person.Chaos.Because something about all of this felt incomplete.Too fractured.Too selective.I slowly turned toward him.Chaos immedi

  • Bankrupting the Alpha: Crowned by the Dragon King   The Original Timeline

Aella POVThe room remained painfully silent after my realization. No one wanted to say it out loud. That Elias was not simply trying to destroy kingdoms anymore. He was trying to rebuild reality itself. In his image.Under his control. The babies had finally calmed slightly beneath my ribs after Beatriz practically forced me to sit back down, though Sol refused to move farther than a few inches away from me.His hand remained pressed protectively against my stomach like he needed constant reassurance that all four of us were still here.Still safe. For now.But my mind refused to settle.Because something still bothered me.Something important.I slowly turned toward Sol.“When Maxwell trapped me…”The Bond tightened instantly at the memory.Sol’s expression darkened immediately.Honestly?Fair.I still wanted to throw Maxwell into the void personally.“He mentioned Elias several times,” I continued carefully. “Did he ever tell you anything else?”The room focused on Sol immediately.

  • Bankrupting the Alpha: Crowned by the Dragon King   A little late for that

Aella POVSol returned less than twenty minutes later. The moment sunlight flashed through the sanctuary halls, I stood up too quickly from the hospital bed, relief slamming into me hard enough that my knees nearly buckled. The Bond steadied instantly.Alive.Safe.Tired.Concerned.Sol looked exhausted when he appeared, his hair slightly disheveled, sunlight still flickering faintly beneath his skin like the power had not fully settled yet.But he was alive. That alone loosened something painfully tight inside my chest. The moment he saw me standing, his expression darkened.“Aella.”His tone carried immediate disapproval.“You were supposed to rest.”I crossed my arms.“You disappeared into another realm.”“Yes, because apparently ancient magical disasters wait for no one.”Honestly?Fair.Still, he moved toward me immediately, placing one hand protectively against my stomach while the other brushed softly against my cheek.Grounding himself.Checking us.The babies shifted instantl

  • Bankrupting the Alpha: Crowned by the Dragon King   now you see me, now you don't

Aella POVSol reacted immediately. The moment Order mentioned the spirit realm and the stolen book, the exhaustion disappeared from his expression completely. The King surfaced.Focused.Sharp.Dangerously calm. Before I could even process what was happening, Sol leaned down and kissed me quickly, one hand brushing protectively over my stomach.“I’ll be right back,” he murmured softly against my forehead. Then—He vanished.Sunlight flashed once through the sanctuary medical wing. And he was gone.It took less than three seconds. It took me significantly longer to process the fact that he had just left like that.I blinked slowly at the empty space where he had been standing moments before. The Bond still connected us faintly, enough for me to know he was alive and moving quickly, but the sudden absence still left something hollow in my chest.Honestly?Maybe he needed the escape. After everything that happened, after learning Elias was his father and John betrayed him and only Marcus

  • Bankrupting the Alpha: Crowned by the Dragon King   One sided story

Aella POVIt took all of us to contain Marcus.Literally.At first, he only yelled. Then he paced. Then he started throwing things.A chair shattered against the sanctuary wall hard enough that even the castle dimmed in alarm.“I’m going to kill him!”Marcus’ voice echoed through the sanctuary halls like a storm barely held together.Hunter immediately stepped in front of the doors.“You are absolutely not leaving.”Marcus shoved him hard enough to send Hunter sliding backward several feet.“I’ll find John first,” Marcus hissed. “Then Elias.”His entire body trembled violently with rage.“I want answers.”No one blamed him.Not even Sol.Marcus had just learned that the father who raised him lied to him his entire life while the monster terrorizing the kingdoms was actually his biological father.Honestly?A little property destruction felt reasonable. But Marcus was dangerous when emotional.Always had been. And now that he knew the truth, something about him felt different.Sharper.

  • Bankrupting the Alpha: Crowned by the Dragon King   Sol POV

-------SOL ---------------- She was gone. Just like that. Gone. No scream. No body. No blood. Just empty stone where she had been standing seconds before. My knees buckled before I realized I was falling. Linus caught me under the arm, steadying my weight like I weighed nothing. “Sol?” Hi

We walked quickly toward the access doors of the Silver Tower. Bruno—the Tiger Alpha—was already speaking into his comms, his voice clipped and controlled. “Monarchs have arrived. Repeat—Monarchs have arrived. Maintain barricade positions. No one breaks formation without direct authorization.”

  • Bankrupting the Alpha: Crowned by the Dragon King   A compromise

The atmosphere in the Grand Hall shifted from shock to a heavy, simmering tension. While the rest of the students were being herded toward the Moon and Heir towers, Pamela and I stood in the center of the atrium, looking at our digital assignment badges. That night, the Silver Tower penthouse was alive with the glow of data and the thrill of a hunt. I had ended the seminar with a final, high-stakes bait. "I’ve given you the rules of the Acting Method," I told the hundreds of faces on the screen. "Now, here is the final challenge for the
