"Son of a bitch!" Kieran snarled in anger. Gwendolyn laughed as he pulled away from her and covered her body with the sheets. He stormed over to the door and yanked it open. A maid stood on the other side. She looked frightened and took a step back abruptly. "Forgive my disturbance, Alpha Kieran." She said quickly, holding up a tray filled with food and fruits and covered with a lid. When Kieran silently stepped aside, she hurried into the room and placed the tray on the table. Kieran walked back to the table where she dropped the tray. He opened the lid and glared at the sweet-smelling beef stew, roasted steak and berries. Ryder inquired, noticing the blood on Kieran's hand. He turned to Gwendolyn, wondering why she looked horrified. Kieran accepted the folded handkerchief Odin handed him and wiped the blood off his hand. "They know." He muttered. "They know Gwendolyn is in the pack. Someone shot an arrow at her." "We told Alpha Harry to keep Miss Gwendolyn's arrival a secret." Odin explained. "And he promised to do so." "Unless he wasn't the one who spread the news."
