Semua Bab Barbarian: Mated To The Savage Alpha: Bab 1 - Bab 10

Ten Years Ago~~~~~~~"Happy birthday, Gwen."Gwendolyn Bowen smiled happily and blew out the candles on her cake. She leaned back, hands held together as if in prayer, and sighed blissfully. It was her eighteenth birthday, a day she had been waiting for. The moon in the sky was a full round disc, sending its silvery rays through the windows, a proof of the moon goddess's blessings. Beside her were her parents, Alpha Thane and Luna Naomi, rulers of the Earth Realm Pack. The birthday party was supposed to be a huge one, seeing as the princess of the pack just came of age. But Gwendolyn just wanted a little celebration with her parents, the only people who mattered to her. "Did you make a wish?" Naomi asked eagerly. "I did." Gwendolyn answered with a soft smile. "And enough with the birthday cakes. I'm not a little girl anymore."Her father, Alpha Thane, chuckled happily. "When you turned ten, you made your mother and I promise to get you a cake for every birthday." He said. "You

Gwendolyn's heart skipped a beat as she met his gaze. Those pure red eyes, filled with fire, glared back at her. The cursed hybrid. He was as she remembered him that night. The ruthless grin he flashed at her before turning and flying away, taking her mother with him. How was he caught? The lycans had great difficulty restraining him, despite the silver chains wrapped around his torso, wrists and ankles. Blood spilled out from his side where someone had shot an arrow at him. "How did you capture him?" She asked the nearest lycan guard whose name was Jed. "He flew straight into the pack's territory, Princess." Jed answered. "He almost escaped, but we shot him with the silver arrows. It was an easy catch."Gwendolyn stared at Kieran silently. What could have made him enter lycan's territory? The Wildings and the lycans were sworn enemies. What did he want? She noticed the bloody scars on his back where he had probably been whipped while trying to escape. Even now as he was pinned

Gwendolyn's mind spun crazily the moment she felt the sparks of the mate bond. The pull was intense, and she felt her wolf howl with excitement in her head. She looked up sharply, her gaze clashing with his as realization dawned on them both. It couldn't be. She waited twelve years to find her mate only to discover he was her sworn enemy? The moon goddess had to be joking. She watched Kieran snatch his hand away, like he had been burned. "I don't believe this." He muttered, a frown marring his arrogant face. "You're my mate?"One of the Wildings landed heavily on the ground and walked forward until he was standing beside Kieran. He had the same build; long hair, wide enormous wings and blood red eyes. His eyes scrutinized her darkly, then he turned to Kieran. "You're mated to her?" He asked harshly. "Are you sure?""I felt the mate bond, Kane." Kieran muttered. Even now, he could feel the pull, the strong urge to go close to Gwendolyn and touch her. The more he tried to suppres

Gwendolyn shut her eyes as the creature lunged at her. But a pair of strong arms enclosed her suddenly and pulled her out of the way. She fell over something warm and solid, but didn't have the time to wonder what it was. She opened her eyes in time to see the creature crash into the tree. It rose to its feet, eyes glowing an eerie yellow. As it crouched low to the ground and prepared to lunge again, a spear lanced through the air and struck it. It roared in pain and crashed to the ground. Dead. Gwendolyn let out the breath she had been holding, and that was when she noticed the arms wrapped around her waist. She looked down, right into Kieran's compelling eyes. He was looking right at her, an odd look on his face. For a moment, they stayed in that position, with Gwendolyn above him. Everything faded. The forest, the Wildings, Julian. Everything. It was just the two of them. Kieran slowly raised his hand and touched the curly lock of hair that dangled close to her cheek. He wra

They arrived at Nightshade Pack the next day, just when the sun had started to rise. Gwendolyn was amazed at the size of the pack. It wasn't the home of a hybrid who was hiding away. It was an empire. She clung tightly to Kieran as he lowered to the ground, trying to ignore the way his hand tightened around her waist. His wings flapped heavily as he landed, sending a torrent of wind which whipped her hair into her face. She scoffed, annoyed, and when she caught the smirk on his face, she realized he did it intentionally. He was utterly shameless. Behind her, Kane and the rest of the Wildings dropped to the ground and finally released Julian. He started to walk towards her, but she quickly shook her head, stopping him. Kieran would carry on with his threat if he didn't stay away. She needed to protect him. 'Let's talk later' He mouthed to her, and she nodded. Suddenly Kieran grabbed her hand and tugged her forward. She had to keep up with his long strides as they continued into
