Nicks POV
It's been two days since we started waiting for Kyle to return home. Vanessa said that Kyle was fond of running away from home and that she would return soon. I don't know why she would want to run away now that people I suspect are working for Miranda are looking for her everywhere.
My heart tells me she is in some sort of danger and the fact that we have not been able to see her through Vanessa's magic mirror sort of confirms my fears.
Vanessa said that she has always been keeping track of Kyle's movement over the years through the help of the magic mirror and she finds it odd that this is not the case this time. She said the only place that Kyle can be without being seen must be heavily rooted in dark magic.
I have tried tailing her scent but the air is as clear as a crystal. There is no iota of her present anywhere around the little town.
