“Hon, I miss you so bad. I want to cuddle with you all night.”

Jasper said in a babyish voice, acting all sweet and clingy—like a goat begging for affection.

If we were lying next to each other right now, I swear his head would already be inside my shirt.

“Me too.” I gave him a soft smile. I didn’t want him thinking I was too eager.

“Really???” He asked dramatically.

I nodded with a smile.

I really do miss him. I often act cold toward him, but deep down, I’m aching for him. What can I do? He still owns my heart. I can fool other people, but not myself.

We’re on a video call right now, both lying down. Jasper isn’t wearing a shirt—he’s clearly trying to tempt me. And of course, I’m weak.

He’s changed a lot. He’s become more talkative. He always has stories to tell, random ones, until I fall asleep while he’s still talking.

When I wake up, the camera’s still on, and his face is the first thing I see—just like before.
