The man was anxiously waiting for news, he had worked hard to trap Regan into returning to the city for 1 week so that he could meet the man with one of his best friend's daughters who had just returned from abroad.

He is Adyatama Adzura, a man who has a character no different from Regan. The difference was that the old man was more stubborn and authoritarian, though Regan managed to get over it in the end.

It was not easy for Regan to overcome his father's stubbornness, he had to leave the Adzura family residence and make his own mansion, the only place Adyatama could not enter freely because Regan had arranged it as best he could.

His being selective in hiring others made it difficult for the old man to get his spies into Regan's residence.

Of course Regan did that when Adyatama wasn't around, luckily it was all over before the man returned from his service. If you remember about it only makes Adyatama annoyed.
