Eva's POV'

I stared at the window as the rain kept hitting the glass. There was something so satisfying about it. As if the rain is trying to reach out to you as it keeps knocking on your door, trying to ask you about how you feel about your current situation and trying to let you know that it's your only friend present when no one is there with you.

I don't feel alone when it rains. I sighed as I looked at the ring on my finger which told me that I belong to my beast of a husband who's been nothing but gentle with me in the past few days. I don't know why he's acting that way all of a sudden, not that I'm complaining, of course not.

I'm relieved that he's no longer torturing me, but physically, it's a torture every time I see him shirtless or when he's so close to me that I merely breathe.
