That night, the family except Hero were having their dinner, and for some reason, Hardin was extremely happy.

On the other hand, Jules and Harley chatted happily as they ate, while Harris and his father, discussed some important matters.

Although Hardin was left out, he didn't feel bothered, or interested in their conversation. Instead, he was lost in thoughts and grinning ear to ear.

"Hardin you seem happy, do you mind sharing the secret behind your happiness," Jules muttered, in an attempt to start a conversation so he wouldn't feel left out.

However, Hardin scoffed and said, "It's not a crime to be happy is it?"

Both Mr.Harper and Harris tilted their gaze to him. "Do you always have to be rude to your stepmom even when she's trying to be nice to you?" Mr.Harper scolded.

"Dad, I don't need her to be nice to me_ she pretends to be nice in front of you, but in your absence, she's a different person," Hardin responded, as he recalled how Jules pulled his ears the other day.
