"What do you want?" Viska tried to struggle, ready to scream but her mouth was gagged with a handkerchief. Both hands were grabbed and dragged to the end, where it was dark and there was no one there. Viska continued to struggle as her clothes began to be stripped off.
“Heartbroken, huh, left by his previous boyfriend? "Here, we'll treat you, so that beautiful won't cry anymore," teased one of them, ready to take a sip and squeeze Viska's mochi. Another person faithfully waited his turn, while locking the woman's hands so that his friend could freely enjoy.
Luckily, Bryan's conscience was awakened, he chased Viska and taught the two drunk men a lesson. Saving Viska, who almost became a victim there.
Viska sobbed, hugging her knees. Regret screaming because Bryan was almost hit several times. He was also afraid that something scary like that would happen to him even though the location was not very quiet, there were still vehicles passing by and several people walking on the other side of the park.
"I'll take you home." Bryan stretched out his hand, asked Viska to sit down and immediately put her clothes back on after successfully repelling the two thugs.
"No need!" Viska brushed Bryan's hand away, covering her chest which was not covered by anything.
“Hurry up, before I change my mind.” Viska shook her head. He remained adamant, even though he was afraid that the thugs would return.
Not wanting the woman to get hurt a second time, Bryan was forced to pull Viska's hand, so a tug of war occurred between the two of them. Unfortunately, Bryan lost his balance and fell on Viska's body.
"What are you doing?" The noise from earlier had attracted people around, followed by the debate between Viska and Bryan, of course inviting several people who were enjoying the evening at the other end of the park to approach them. Unfortunately they arrived in different circumstances.
Several people gasped when they saw the condition of the two human children. Bryan, who was trying to get up, was actually pulled by Viska to cover his body so that the people wouldn't see him.
"If you want to do that, what's the harm in renting a cottage or a two-star hotel, there are some around here if you're desperate but don't have the money. Instead of doing it here, you really don't have any manners as humans." One of them shouted.
“Wait a minute, this is not what you think. I'm here to save him aren't I…”
Shut your mouth, your position and this woman's condition have confirmed that you are committing immoral acts here. In order to get a deterrent effect so that it doesn't happen, and someone will follow what you do, it's better to come with us! Let's finish everything at the nearest police station, how about that?" One of them made a suggestion, which the others agreed to. So Bryan and Viska were dragged to the police station which was quite far from where they were.
While stumbling, Bryan tried hard to take off the shirt he was wearing, leaving only a thin white t-shirt, to cover Viska's body. Even though he doesn't like it, protecting Viska is still a must.
As soon as they got there, Bryan and Viska started getting questions about their purpose and purpose in being in the park, almost midnight like now. In a position as told by several people who arrested them, as witnesses of what they did.
It doesn't match the real facts, but Bryan can't deny it at all because no one is defending him. What's more, Viska was just silent. Neither dismissed nor confirmed the accusation.
As a result, a surprising decision was made to achieve peace. Viska Bryan's parents were asked to come so that they could get married immediately... That same night.
"I can't do this; I have a wife!" Bryan emphasized every word he spoke when Viska's parents came to demand that he marry their daughter. That was one way to get some of the townspeople to let go of their Princess.
"Besides, she's already married. Of course, there's a waiting period before I can marry her. Don't be insane just because you misunderstood someone earlier..."
"Both of you can draft an agreement, and she can divorce her husband. Once her waiting period is over, you can marry. When the time comes, we will come to your residence to witness a wedding." One of them insisted.
"No, I can't do it because I'm not sure if my wife would allow her husband to marry again." Bryan dropped Shabila's name, even though their relationship was far from good. He did it all for his freedom. There was no way he could marry his sister's ex, where would he even put his face?
"We don't care because no one asked you to do that here," another chimed in, unwilling to let Bryan's words prevail.
"Well, just sign this agreement then. I want to be free, and we're doing this because we truly love each other. It's just that we're both already married," Viska surprisingly admitted. Suddenly, she was interested in accepting the accusations so that she could escape from Gibran's grasp. With this, a divorce could be done quickly.
Whether he liked it or not, Bryan had to do it because of the misunderstanding that had occurred. It was detrimental to his marriage and Gibran but presented a great opportunity for Viska to enter the Handoko family. This would make it much easier for her to win back Nicholas.
Moreover, Handoko was currently hospitalized, which meant Nicholas wouldn't want to take Alesya far from his father. Even though their relationship as a child wasn't good, Nicholas would still follow his parents' wishes and commands. This was evident as he continued to prioritize Handoko and Mariana, despite not receiving any reciprocation for all the kindness he had shown.
"You're really crazy, Viska!" Bryan shook his head, "But no matter what, I'll never marry you."
"You can't do this, just because you've thrown dirt on my parents' faces, you can't do whatever you want to me?"
"Do it if you truly love each other. We'll do anything as long as this matter doesn't become public. As respected individuals in this town, what you're doing tarnishes my reputation." Viska's father interjected. "Get married, and we'll do anything for you."
"Anything I want?" Bryan sneered, but in reality, he had no choice. When it came to the company and his parents' reputation, Bryan couldn't do anything, because it was his responsibility. If he still wanted to be the CEO of his father's company, he couldn't just let it slip away. He had been working towards it for years, and Bryan didn't want it to go to waste. If he left, it would mean losing his position as a leader.
For years, he had been reaching for all of it. Bryan didn't want it to slip away that easily. He might sign this agreement first and figure out later how to get out of this ridiculous agreement. Bryan was also certain that Gibran wouldn't let go of Viska, even though they had truly been in an illicit relationship.
Viska smiled when Bryan finished signing the agreement; it meant she had found a way to free herself from her insane husband.
"Thank you," Viska muttered. Though softly spoken, Bryan could still hear what she said quite clearly.
Nicholas guided Alesya to lie down, after they had finished their brief lovemaking, expelling the feeling of boredom that was enveloping them. Quite entertained, Alesya can smile a little now.
"Nik, if possible tomorrow I want to go back to the village, I want to visit Mommy's grave. "I want to tell Mommy that I already know that Daddy has betrayed her love, and at the same time I want to check the contents of their room to find some other evidence about Abi's betrayal."
“It's better not to. The more you find out, the more you will be hurt, it's better to leave things like this." Nicholas advised, not wanting Alesya to find out more about the betrayal between Lusi and Alitama.
The man was sure that instead of solving the problem, Alesya would discover other painful facts.
Gibran continued, "As for our divorce, I've already agreed to it. We'll proceed with the legal process, and you'll be free to start a new chapter in your life. I hope you find the happiness you deserve."The conversation between Viska and Gibran marked the beginning of the end of their tumultuous marriage. While their emotions were still raw, they had come to a mutual understanding that it was time to move on and seek happiness elsewhere.Gibran's frustration and pent-up emotions poured out as he defended his actions. He felt betrayed by Viska, who had consistently pushed him away and made unfavorable comparisons with Nicholas. Their relationship had become a battleground of insecurities, and Gibran had sought solace with Shabila.Viska's accusations stung, but Gibran was determined to make her understand the context of his actions. He continued, "Viska, I don't want to justify what I did, but it was a result of our broken marriage. We both contributed to its downfall. I needed someth
190"Also," Bryan paused, kissing Silvi's lips briefly."Don't forget that the night we were together, I can assure you, it's my child."Silvi shook her head. "It's not Devin's child. Do you think after that night, I didn't do anything with other men? Did you really think that night was the only time someone touched me? No, there have been many other nights with so many men because I felt like I wasn't pure anymore. So I was free to do it with anyone since my life was already a mess.""S-so... instead of slightly more ruining myself, and the last time it was done to me was by Devin. That's why he's willing to take responsibility. He's also convinced that this is his child."Bryan let out a bitter laugh, releasing Silvi from his embrace. "Is that so?" He loosened his tie, which had felt suffocating after hearing Silvi's explanation. "Let's prove that what you said is true." He took off the suit jacket that clung to his body.“W-what are you doing?” Silvi stepped back. Hugging her own b
189"No way! I won't leave until I meet Gibran. He has to take responsibility for this child," Shabila insisted, refusing to budge. She held onto Viska and stood her ground."Leave, I said! Go!"Viska couldn't bear Shabila's stubbornness and forcefully pulled her arm, nearly causing Shabila to stumble."What's wrong with you!" Shabila pushed away Viska's hand and fixed her disheveled hair. "Are you afraid your husband's actions will be known to your parents? Or is it that you refuse to accept the truth?" Shabila began to rant."I don't understand what you're saying. Now leave!" Viska demanded."Wait, Viska! Mom wants to ask this woman something." Viska's mother restrained her daughter and turned to Shabila. "Why did you let my granddaughter get pregnant? Don't you know he's already married? What do you want from us? Money?"Shabila seethed with anger. Her dignity felt insulted when the middle-aged woman mentioned money."Do you think I'm a lowly woman who just surrenders her body to a
188Shabila spent the whole day in frustration, angry that she couldn't meet Gibran at his cafe. She paced back and forth in her room, thinking of ways to meet him."Do you think you can avoid me forever? You won't be able to, Gibran. I have to make you take responsibility for the child I'm carrying. You won't be able to escape. Just wait and see."Shabila clenched her fists, planning a thousand ways to meet Gibran. "If I can't find you at the cafe, I'll come to your house. Let's see if you can still avoid me," she muttered to herself.Gibran decided to visit the club where he had met Shabila some time ago. He had a bad feeling about Shabila's visit to his cafe and wanted to find out what had really happened between them that night. Honestly, Gibran didn't remember much because he had been heavily intoxicated that night.Upon arriving at the club, Gibran called one of the waitresses and conveyed his request to meet with the club's owner."I'd like to discuss something important with y
187"What brand would you like, Miss?" The employee asked while displaying several different brands of pregnancy tests.Shabila looked puzzled, which only fueled the employee's suspicions. "Is this your first time buying a pregnancy test?" she guessed with a condescending glance."Y-yes," Shabila replied hesitantly. Seeing the employee looking down on her, Shabila's heart began to boil. "I am already married, just so you know. Here's my ID," she said abruptly, opening her wallet and showing her ID card, which still stated her marital status as MARRIED. Her divorce from Arya was only religious; it wasn't legally recognized yet.Seeing the ID placed on the counter, the pharmacy employee became flustered. She was torn between embarrassment and guilt. "I'm s-sorry, Miss, I didn't mean to—""It's fine, I understand!" Shabila retorted sharply, then pointed towards the pregnancy tests. "So, which one is the best?" she asked. She deliberately didn't want to prolong the issue since she wanted
186Several days had passed, and today was the ceremonial bath event for Silvi. Everything was well-prepared, and the guests were moved by the event, which was expertly guided by the paid organizers, arranged by Silvi's parents. Silvi's large family wore matching light green kebaya, while Devin's family, who were present, wore light blue kebaya. The event was conducted with great solemnity, and Silvi looked beautiful despite wearing makeup that wasn't too flashy. This ceremony included many symbols and motifs that served as lessons or guidelines for the couple, influencing their married life. These symbols or motifs mainly conveyed advice and useful insights for the newlyweds' life together. That's why Mama Silvi insisted on holding the ceremonial bath event, even though Silvi and Devin had been married before. In addition to the food ordered for the guests and relatives, the organizers had prepared specific dishes usually served during this ceremonial bath event. These included tumpe
