CHAPTER 17

ELIJAH

My mind was reeling after leaving Mariah asleep in our room. It was all happening so quickly yet not quickly enough at the same time. I had come to accept that Mariah was my mate, it was impossible to deny now, especially after last night.

I walked through the hallways of the castle to my office where Aldridge already stood to attention waiting patiently. "Good morning, my lord. " he said, bowing as I walked past. I nodded in reply before pushing open the office door and moving to sit in my seat, Aldridge stood waiting on the opposite end of the desk.

"You have 2 meetings today, my lord as well as a few documnets regarding the education plan for the children over the next few years. " he informed placing the documents on my table but before he could continue I raised my hand, silencing him.

"She is my soul mate, Aldridge" I said simply knowing he would understand. Aldridge seemed surprised for a second befor
